I really don't like those shirts.

Seeing Nathan Redmond holding up one of those shirts and then wearing it. The collar is just soooooo big. It really is the worst shirt they've come up with. Who's responsible?

Totally agree. The club ought to hand their heads in shame for putting that rubbish out.

I'm genuinely surprised we've managed to recruit anybody. I bet Kompany has had a few players back out at the last minute when they saw the size of the collar they'd be made to wear on match days. No wonder we lost out on Verbuggen, Manning, and God knows who else.

It's just crap.. no effort put in for that compared to last year.

Apparently, took one look at the shirts and decided to f**k off to Miami.

We must be in a minority, but I also think it's an awful shirt. The collar just doesn't look right. They do an infant version without the collar which I think looks better. It's a shame they didn't use that style for the adult shirt.

Does it matter that much in the grand scheme of things?

It's a bad one, especially when you compare it to last year and the ones Umbro have put out for other clubs this year.

Can we have a section of the forum for people to complain about things?

He probably won’t but he came onto the Uptheclarets message board to discuss it with other fans. I know the idea of discussing something must be foreign to you, Socrates.

To quote your namesake, ‘The highest form of human excellence is to question oneself and others’. At the time, he did stress that this includes BFC shirts.

I'm not overly keen either, looks more like a Villa or West Ham shirt somehow.

Rank bad. Plus those collars are going to cause major wind-resistance issues. Players will be levitating in those winter months. It'll be like running with a kite. At least all those kids holding signs up asking for players' shirts will disappear!
May be slightly hyperbolix there.....but, still: PAP!

As a teenager abroad on holiday in the early 90s, I would always get annoyed at the constant presumptions when I wore my Burnley shirt.
Is that Villa? Is that West Ham?

After being quite famous for a few years I thought them days were gone.
But I reckon even Villa fans think our strip is theirs.

In what sense is Socrates response not ‘discussion’? At least it talks about the topic raises which is more than your post does!

It’s all personal opinions . I hated last years shirt and prefer this one. You can never please everyone

I loved the away shirts last season, so far me the new shirts this year will have to raise the bar higher, whilst last years home shirt was a low bar for me

To be fair, I agree with you that my post didn’t add to the discussion about shirts. But I don’t think ‘don’t wear it then’ really constitutes discussion. It’s like me posting the reasons I don’t like Breaking Bad and hoping to talk about them, and someone saying ‘don’t watch it then.’ Like, yeah, I can just not watch it, but maybe I’m interested in hearing from people who do like it.

I can't remember a more disappointing home shirt to be honest probably because of last year's brilliant shirt.
Don't understand this obsession with having to have claret with blue sleeves, as long as it's the right colours I'm all for trying something new like last season.

Yet last years "Brilliant home shirt" was castigated on this forum pre-season ... and loads on here said they wouldn't be seen dead in it ... BFC went on to perform in a record breaking 101 points & only lost 3 games all season.

No I won't be buying this seasons shirt ... not because I hate it ... but because I will be wearing my last seasons Brilliant shirt

Not really sure why you've quoted me in what you've said it doesn't make sense.

I certainly didn't have a bad word to say about last season's, it was an instant hit as soon as I saw it.
I certainly won't be paying £55 for it anyway, it'll be direct from China for £13 or from Umbro at £44!
Annoying that I'll spend any money on it but struggle to not buy all 3
