I don’t mind a yellow shirt but that is awful. Would have been good without the stripe. They have ruined what would have been a good shirt. Who signs off on the shirts and kits? And is said person registered blind?

The claret blend into black is pretty dreadful. Why not just a claret sash dissolving into the yellow? Also, the sponsor clashing with the sash makes it looks so poorly thought out. And then W88 who appear to have been flexible enough to change the colour of their logo but we've printed it in a completely different shade of claret which just clashes.

I might actually wear that if it wasn't for the W88 logo in pink overlapping the stripe with a yellow surround making it even more obvious. If the logo was smaller in claret or black and didn't overlap the stripe. Pity you can't buy it without the sponsors logo.

Totally agree. Personally I'd like to see it with a claret sash fading into the yellow and pale blue in the middle and same colours on the edge of the sleeve. You could add pale blue to the left hand rear neck opposite the claret. And of coure a smaller logo not overlapping the sash in matching claret.

You can get it for £80 (still a rip off). The one you link is the ‘authentic’ shirt which is exactly what the players wear. The non-authentic shirts have a more generous cut suitable for the average non-athletic supporter.

No. That was never worn. If true, the story is that apparently Mitre made that for the following season’s away kit and produced a good few copies. The club then rejected it and the decision was made to make it a ‘Limited edition’ Wembley shirt for the 94 Play Off Final to sell the shirts made. We then ended up with the yellow and black pinstripe kit that today’s release is supposed to be likened to.

It was based on the amber and black kit of the late 19th century, although I think I’m remembering rightly that the club initially marketed it as our ‘original colours’. Of course all the pedants pointed out that they were wrong.

Blake was up front with another little striker that night (cant remember who but was very rare to have two little guys up front) and the pair of them ripped us apart. I also think Chris Bart-Williams ran the show that night but might be wrong
