For free? I suspect you'll only manage that if somebody here is willing to offer you their driveway or a residents permit.

Away from town centre yes. Depending on where your hotel is you’ll find it’s disc parking definitely on Saturday with a maximum of 3 hours not returnable to same area on same day. Discs should be available from your hotel There’s also pay parking meters again around town centre.
3 multi story car parks in town centre, each have different opening time and charges.
I’d ask your hotel as you can see is a bit of a “pick and mix”

I'd email the hotel and ask for 24 hour parking recommendations.

Re: Parking in Harrogate
I’m a regular at Harrogate District Hospital (you don’t want to park there!) and if time allows, I try and go for a run around the Stray and the town.
I often park for free (no time limit) on coach road or adjacent. There are often several places available.
For reference, it’s a 8-10 minute walk to the train station in the middle, from there

Doing Travelodge in centre. Car park opposite £11 per 24 hours. Saves messing about.

More importantly, have you sorted out your bars?
My personal favourites are The Old Bell Tavern, Three’s A Crowd, Coach & Horses, Cold Bath Brewing Co….
Basically anywhere except Weatherspoons.

Was going to suggest YourParkingSpace, but bfcfan has beaten me to it
Used it many times for away games & gigs we’ve been too and saved fortune in parking costs

Re: Parking in Harrogate
My wife has an aunt who lives in Harrogate who we go to see quite often. We have never had a problem parking, we just park in her driveway. Don’t see what all the fuss is about
