Photoshop advice - Claret and blue colour codes

Post by mikeS » Tue Aug 01, 2023 10:26 am

A question for Photoshop users / graphic designers / artists.
I'm working on an A1 poster for the Library and want to have coloured letters filled with Claret and Blue.
Ive tried guessing them on Photoshops colour palette but the combinations don't look right on screen.

Do the club use a standard Pantone colour for Claret and Blue and does anyone know what the colours are please?
(I could do with the Hex code colours ideally for Photoshop 2023)

Any advice Much appreciated and a big thank you advance.
Mike.

That site looks to be showing the badge colours, but we have gone with a deeper blue on the shirts in recent seasons, which I personally think is a good move.

The club have previously confirmed that the official Pantone colour codes are 222 for Claret and 2905 for Blue.

Although I don’t photoshop, I use something very similar. Id recommended getting the badge from Seek Logo (100% free) and using the eyedropper tool.

The blue in last seasons kit is by far better than previous seasons, when it looked more of a wishy washy turquoise.

Yeah, that was my point above. It looked really washed out for a while, almost white on some images. I prefer a proper blue and I think this past two seasons feels like a return to that.

The difference between the site showing the badge Pantone blue of 2975, and the previous club tweet from 2012 saying that the club blue is Pantone 2905

I know it’s sacrilege but I prefer Hammers darker Claret.
