New Shirt - Quality Control
Picked up the new home shirt on release day, tried it on then hung it up in my wardrobe.
Came to stick it on over the weekend and noticed a load of pulls in the back, I've obviously lost the receipt now so I'm just wondering if I take it back on Saturday would they replace it for me?
Cheers.

Email the clubshop & ask. They'll probably ask for proof of purchase I'd have thought though

surely even if you've chucked the receipt, you can only purchase the shirt from the club, and it was only released the other week? How could they argue you brought it from anywhere else, or longer ago to not be in question?

I think you can buy it from Umbro (unfortunately for me).pompeyclaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 10:48 amsurely even if you've chucked the receipt, you can only purchase the shirt from the club, and it was only released the other week? If you paid by card you will have proof of purchase. Did you ask for the points on teamcard?
They have to replace crap quality items. The club will send back to supplier.

Just use the sale of goods act if they get awkward.
Tell them the onus of proof is on them to prove it wasn’t faulty when you purchased the shirt and that should work.

They should be able to verify the purchase by cctv even if you paid cash.

Re: New Shirt - Quality Control
Not a major gripe as mine is fine, but when I buy new clothing I always check for manufacturing or storage problems, such as pulls, faulty or unfinished threads, holes, lopsided badges etc. it’s just the way I am.
When buying from the club shop you go through the checking and then they take the top off you and give you a fresh one in a sealed bag. So you pay for it without being able to check it.
As I said, not a major gripe as problems are rare, and it’s probably more efficient to do it how they do, but I can imagine some people taking them back for little problems.

My daughter noticed a click on the front of mine. I emailed the shop, sent it back and received a new one, no problem. It only took a couple of days.
