“Our indoor and outdoor Fan Zones have also been uplifted to make your pre-match experience even better.
Inside will see the introduction of the self-order units and a food offering of fan favourite, Haffners pies!
The outdoor Fan Zone will now home several street food vendors from the local community, including woodfire pizza and Footy Curry, with more still to come. We will also be serving alcohol from our new outdoor bar!”
Yeah,Haffners pies and outdoor bar

Re: Fan Zone
They really are doing an excellent job, enhancing the fan experience
Irrespective of the football (which has obviously been fantastic), the match day experience has hit an all time high for me
I just hope it doesn't end up being better than the actual game

Lol that match day experience has been on in the 110 club since the 70’s. Copying buggers. 110 still has the edge - beer in a glass.

Sounds positive!
Re: Fan Zone
From the same email it sounds like the self order units are only going to be available in the Longside and Jimmy Max stands.

I stopped going in 110 when the smoking ban came in, used to love the 20 free cigarettes I got as a child, imagine stepping in a room like that nowGarnerssoap wrote: ↑Sat Aug 05, 2023 7:36 amLol that match day experience has been on in the 110 club since the 70’s. Re: Fan Zone
Fish, chips and mushy peas followed by four pints in a pub is the best pre-match 'experience'.
Re: Fan Zone
Still like that in some places in mainland Europe. I was in a indoor shopping centre on Wednesday, and there was an area of cafes with seating in the walkway. It was like being back in the Miners in the late 90s.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 05, 2023 8:37 amI stopped going in 110 when the smoking ban came in, used to love the 20 free cigarettes I got as a child, imagine stepping in a room like that now
That layer of smoke that lingers at around 5 feet in the air.

Sounds like the half time crush in the CFS will continue.

Re: Fan Zone
Not saying this to be negative as I’m genuinely curious, but how is your match day experience at an all time high? I sit in the JMU and it’s probably at an all time low, with bigger queues to get in than ever (not a huge problem as they move quickly) and impossible to get a drink at half time (given up even trying). Granted it sounds like this will be improved upon this coming season but I haven’t noticed any improvements - I don’t use the fanzone which could explain this.Roosterbooster wrote: ↑Sat Aug 05, 2023 7:27 amThey really are doing an excellent job, enhancing the fan experience

The buzz on the walk into the ground and the anticipation probably helpRileybobs wrote: ↑Sat Aug 05, 2023 10:41 amNot saying this to be negative as I’m genuinely curious, but how is your match day experience at an all time high? With more going on, I now get there sooner, grab a coffee in the fanzine, occasionally a beer, and feel the atmosphere growing
I dont mind the queues. Reminds me of York away. And I'm not bothered about a pint at half time
But there are other little things too. Some of my family have met Alan Pace walking around the ground before games. And the build up, as much as its a bit of Americanism with the lights etc, does help somewhat
