Not expecting anything from this game so any of his usual dreadful decisions can’t make us lose any more points.

Wasn't it him that allowed this farce of a goal to stand?

And wasn't it him who failed to give us the blatant pen when the keeper clipped Hendrick at Huddersfield that time ?

Pawson was in charge for our 3-2 win at Chelsea on the opening day wasn't he ?

Re: Referee confirmed for Manchester City game
If the 1st doesn't get you and you somehow managed to dodge the 4th the VAR will kill you.
Having lost some of our more inept figures we seem to have been given 3 of the very worst all for the same game

That’s one of the downsides being in the Premier League. The buffoon in the middle with the whistle. Pawson!!! OMG

Are people forgetting how poor some of the refs were in the Championship last season?

At least we have VAR again this season to make sure the correct decisions are made.Herts Clarets wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 8:32 pmAre people forgetting how poor some of the refs were in the Championship last season?

Re: Referee confirmed for Manchester City game
I think in recent games it’s been the City players who’ve made sure they left with all 3 points.Taffy on the wing wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 6:56 pmThat group should ensure City leave with all 3 points....job done.

Surely having bad officials would be more to our advantage than the best team in world football.

Re: Referee confirmed for Manchester City game
I wondered if I should've put a 'wink emoji' in case people missed my hidden heavy sarcasm. I presume you know me better than that. The useless and utter complete waste of times sitting at Stockwell Park are basically those who have generally been a failure out there on the grass. One of the beauties of last season was being able to cheer a goal without waiting much more than a split second to check the ref & lino are heading back to the centre line.
