Some photos from today.
At the club shop end of Harry Potts Way things look OK all the way up to the away turnstiles.

Things are less complete at the traffic lights.
There's a pedestrian access but this entails crossing the road. This morning the car transporter was trying to drive down Yorkshire street and gave up. No one could cross the road at the time.

It gets worse.
Most of Yorkshire street has no pavement at all.
They look to be tarmacing the pavement part of the way as a temporary measure.

Looks like we could re-create the famous Abbey road crossing on picture 2.
Re: Town To Turf / Culvert update Thursday 10 August
Only access today is on one pavement under the Culvert.
Access for Friday looks pretty bad for fans.
In fact it looks pretty dangerous to me.
It might not be too bad prematch when a steady stream of fans can filter through the one pavement - or two if the tarmaced side is opened. But think about after the game.
10:00 in the dark when everyone wants to get away.
The concerns are the single pavement access under the culvert and the mid- section of Yorkshire street and the traffic lights / junction.

I've done my own risk assessment.
I won't be going anywhere near Yorkshire St tomorrow evening.

I'm surprised we aren't far off losing the safety certificate for tomorrow's game.
Re: Town To Turf / Culvert update Thursday 10 August
Hasn’t it been said that the road will be open for pedestrians tomorrow already?
Finished product looks superb it really does.

Just to be a little positive - and yes, I fully accept it's going to impact tomorrow and is probably delayed beyond the date intended - the area completed outside the Bob Lord looks great. It really has modernised that area.

I haven't been down there since before the work started. The situation might have improved by tomorrow night, but looking at those pictures it looks like a nightmare after the match and positively dangerous.

Yorkshire Street is currently horrendous - I'll probably be walking down there on the way, but I'll be really early. I won't be going near on the way home.

King's taxis have gone downhill, I wondered why I waited an hour for mine before I gave up and rang Delta

I live outside the area and haven't been down since the end of the season. Obviously the road must be much narrower now but is it still 2 way?

As above the completed parts outside the ground look good. Yorkshire Street not so good at the moment!

Wilks
The Car transporter came down Belvedere Road, no idea where he was trying to get to but he ended up backing out and going down Tod Road.

Maybe, just maybe, it will look a lot different on Friday.
