Re: Pre-match press conference v City
Surprised no follow up posts on a long and interesting presser.
Even more surprised no one asked about the fitness of Benson and Cullen.
Anyway, VK sounded like Ramsey was coming and felt that one day he would play for England.
I am hopeful that Townsend not coming means that Benson will be fit soon.

fingers crossed regarding Benson and Cullen, I suspect they were told not to ask certain question because it makes no sense for them not to asksummitclaret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 7:09 pmSurprised no follow up posts on a long and interesting presser.

I get that for our guy, but independent journos?
Re: Pre-match press conference v City
Impressive representative of the club. Every time I see one of his press conferences that feeling is reinforced.

Re: Pre-match press conference v City
I would imagine the club will dictate what goes on to whoever is in the room

Don't think national journalists would allow thatVegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 8:27 pmI would imagine the club will dictate what goes on to whoever is in the room
The days of Boden etc towing the party line are gone

Watched it.
VK is impressive: answers when he chooses to, respectfully declines when he doesn't wish to be drawn.

Re: Pre-match press conference v City
they are guests of the club, they could ban them surely ? They don't have a right to be there just because they have press credentials, that's not how those credentials usually work.

Back to the Bob Lord days then....ban them all!!!Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 8:52 pmthey are guests of the club, they could ban them surely ? They don't have a right to be there just because they have press credentials, that's not how those credentials usually work.

Re: Pre-match press conference v City
People slated Chris Boden et al for years on here, but now they are realising the importance of independent local journos.summitclaret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 7:09 pmSurprised no follow up posts on a long and interesting presser.

Boden etc would have asked for an injury update.
The local lads have all gone now. We’re completely reliant on the in-house media and whatever the nationals can be arsed asking.

I get your point, but maybe it's become club policy not to discuss injuries.agreenwood wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 9:49 pmPeople slated Chris Boden et al for years on here, but now they are realising the importance of independent local journos.

Re: Pre-match press conference v City
Everything VK does and says is simply brilliant. I always judge people by asking myself ‘Would I employ this person ‘. This man would be top of the list whatever the job was
Re: Pre-match press conference v City
Having now had the time to read the press, the question was obviously asked as the managers response is in the local press...... a niggle, not expected to be out long,if at all according to Kompanysummitclaret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 7:09 pmSurprised no follow up posts on a long and interesting presser.
