Cullen has missed the final few weeks of pre-season with a calf issue. It has only been a precaution however and he has trained this week so is expected to feature against Manchester City tonight.

Interesting to see if Cullen starts. Seems like Benny isn’t far off either, although I would be surprised if he was available tonight.

Don’t really know what to expect from the game tonight, although I am just praying it’s not another 5-0 battering! Mainly because I can’t be bothered to listen to the moronic Sky commentators state the obvious by stating ‘Burnley will have to learn quickly’ and ‘this is a big step up from walking the Championship last year.’

Whatever the outcome, I’m not going to read too much into it for the rest of the season although I do think we will get better as the season progresses due to having a young and inexperienced squad along with the 57 new signings.

This is what The Times has as the "probable" line up, FWIW....

If they are guessing they usually say "possible".

I honestly am struggling to pick a selection. Makes it even harder that it’s against City.

Muric is a starter for me as well as Foster. Foster needs to impress quickly though and a goal against City could kick start the form he needs to be our seasons star.

Much as that could be our starting line-up it doesn't inspire confidence that we could get something out of the game.
It will take a master stroke of game management to get anything.....
...but Forest got a point, so you never know ;)
It’s uninspired alright , but it’s a bit of a free hit game and the starting XI will ( I imagine ) change a fair bit by say late Sept .
