Clarets Player Abroad

Post by Guich » Fri Aug 11, 2023 11:51 am

Hi All,
Bit of advice please - I'm over In France and trying to get tonight's game. My Sky Go isn't working with VPN and I can't see anywhere on Clarets Player to buy the game from here. It's on the match centre as 'live at 8pm' but I can't see any packages to buy

Thanks

I'm sure if you google soccer streams you'll find a way to watch the match tonight.

I'm sure I read somewhere that there was no coverage tonight from the club other than the audio

:x Yeah it's a shame isn't it that as a sky customer on hols you can't use your sky go to watch the game and they force you to use whatvthey would deem pirate and illegal streams. I mean you have to log into your Sky Go account to watch :

You can't watch tonight via Clarets Player as the Premier League rights are very different to EFL when games were available last season, I don't think any Premier League game will be available for live video coverage via Clarets Player this season, only audio as CT confirmed.

For SkyGo, not sure how as I am not tech savvy, but they closed the loophole of streaming abroad via VPN at some point over the last 12 months, it worked last year when I was in Romania but didn't work in May when I was abroad again.

If the game is not live on any French channels you'll be having to find a stream online, though being the opening Premier League game against City, there'll be plenty available.

Is the audio free this year or need to pay?

Last PL season they had the commentary on YouTube with a comcam video feed and I checked the stats and it had a latency of 4 seconds which was much closer to live than the clarets + commentary feed and probably much closer to live than the fibre iptv legal feed offered in Singapore.

Hopefully it's a fully controlled club audio feed too, last season all the half time interviews were cut off as it went to adverts for a whole range of UK products not available outside the UK despite the video feed only being for those living outside the UK. Although for all the Andy hodgson haters it was probably a godsend but I doubt the club were aware of how their audio was being butchered by the football league media provider.
