We didn't really even get caught out on the second tbh. He hit it first time without looking. The positioning wasn't awful

Well I’m not exactly getting hysterical about it. Just an opinion.

Koleosho is going to be some player. He is a bit erratic and gives the ball away but at his age it is to be expected. Playing Premier League should improve him no end.

Never mind, folks.
We've only got to play them for another 135 league minutes this season.
And twice in cups ;)

Can't believe people are already slating him. He created the chance himself and it wasn't even the worst effort from a very tricky position. He's not Haaland.

Listening on Clarets+.
Sounds like Amdouni is playing well.
Shame we had to start against this lot.

How does anyone defend against the second goal, first they were starstruck, we have done well, would love to get on scoresheet

Look back at our line up first game last season. Come September I suspect we will look quite a bit different this season.

This is a free hit and I can’t wait for what is to come.

Foster has been really good. Better than nearly all his performances in the championship, but against the best team in the world. I'd call that progress.

Yes, without a doubt! I’m certain something will happen with a new LB whether it be Maatsen or not. Suspect we may also do some business at right back as well.

Thought that was decent. Fozzy looks sharper. Amdouni looks lively. Kolosho put a lot in the first twenty and when he fully adapts he is gonna be player. Trafford looks calm and a decent save from the offside chance. Plenty of good play and pressing. Atmosphere before the second was decent. Loads of positives.

Revert to back four. Zaroury on the left. Benson on the right. Koleosho moves central. Berge and Vitinho off. Game sorted.

We aren’t on about that miss, there was another where it was played into him from the right hand side around 14 yards out and his feeble shot was blocked.

The match is going more or less as I expected. Lots of effort from our side but City have picked us off expertly. I think this will happen a lot this season. Not disappointed with our display but we're up against one of the best sides on the planet and can't expect too much.

If only it was so easy - their whole game is about dragging the opposition across the park and creating that space. Credit where it’s due, they’re bloody good at it.

Difficult to blood 5 new players against poor teams let alone City. Weird team selection imo. Trafford not done anything wrong but just doesn’t have the presence of Muric or the distribution. Get Benson and Zaroury on and Brownhill for Berge .. he looks lost

Playing well against Haaland and the other 10. Bit naive on the first goal, with 3 tallish defenders at the back we left little Vitihno to mark the much taller Rodri at the back post,,,mistake. Haaland? We should have played JJ Watt against him. Zaroury and Brownhill on in second half for me, then Benny later. Play like this, we'll be okay.

Fantastic half - if they have any other striker, I think it's 0-0. Pressed really well and fancy us to grab a goal here

We were never going to win this game it’s just damage limitation. Can’t compete against £100m players in every position. If we get one goal we will have done well.

Berge hasn't had time to get up to speed. I'm a bit surprised he's started.

I think Ben Mee said they marked Haarland by having a defender off him so he couldn't run into the spaces.

Foster will tear this league up. Fast as owt.

No point judging the overall against City. No other team close to as good as them.

Cards on the table, we are going to be fine this season!

If this is where we are at now, against the best team in the league, we will be comfortably safe.
