Re: MNF
I usually switch on close to kick off but I’ve had the whole coverage on today in the background. I can’t believe there’s literally an hour of Carragher and Neville dissecting the weekends games in tedious detail.

Re: MNF
Watching now… does the screen need to be so big? The presenters look uncomfortable when they're stood in a square.
It was genuinely better when Keys and Gray did analysis. You don't need a futuristic green screen studio.

The production quality of that clip is almost like a college production, is that normal for beIN Sports?
It seems to me all these football shows are trying too hard. Remember when Carragher used to put on a VR Headset?
All you need is a desk, touchscreen and overhead camera. Instead, everyone looks tiny and isolated stood to the side of an IMAX screen. It's like Covid all over again.
Re: MNF
Hell's bells, that's awful. I know it's overused but sometimes it just fits - they're total dinosaurs.agreenwood wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 7:52 pmYeah, top notch tonight…

Aye. Great life for a pair of oddball bigots though. Just phone in a TV performance a couple of times a week and live in the sun with your daughters best mate.

Re: MNF
How is that yellow for Martinez not a red?
Compared to Anass, the ball was over a yd away, he is out of control, leads with his studs and cleans the guy out through his ankles.

Man utd vs Wolves
Wolves looking up for it despite all their pre-season disruptions. No surprises from man u. Same old distinctions i evidence.
Re: MNF
Antony gets past his man and you think great. Bare minimum for someone who cost so much. But still great.
And then... genuinely one of the worst balls into the box I've ever seen. No direction, no pace, no idea.
I would say it happens often but it doesn't, because he barely ever beats his man.

The BBC commentator said: “Alex Ferguson was asked in 2009 if City could ever go into a derby as favourites. He said, 'Not in my lifetime', now it's every time.” United have not won a Premier League in over a decade.

Re: MNF
Am I the only one that thinks Wolves look surprisingly good here?
A fair few on this board thought they would be in the relegation battle.

Re: MNF
They do but what is their squad depth? I read on their site that they think they have an excellent midfield.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 9:17 pmAm I the only one that thinks Wolves look surprisingly good here?

Re: MNF
Yes Wolves look good. Well organised and cohesive at the back with a real threat on the break. Their strikers aren't impressive tonight though.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 9:17 pmAm I the only one that thinks Wolves look surprisingly good here?

As ever, bottom 10 sides in the PL live and die by their midfield and their double pivot is strong.

Re: MNF
Man Utd have badly missed Weghorst and the way he used to soften up teams for Utd' to pick off in the second half
