No look pass, thought it was slightly over hit but was a cracking finish
Best performance I’ve seen from any women’s team.
I’m struggling to think of many men’s performances that have been this good

Re: England v Australia WWC
England played well, Australia battled hard but Kerr missed a couple of good chances and it was a good win in the end. Well done.
A strange refereeing display in the first half when everything seemed to go for the Aussies, however, she had a much, much better second half and was on top of her game and it was a better watch because of that.

Played well. I remember taking our daughter years ago to watch England Women at Deadwood - this is on a completely different level.
Re: England v Australia WWC
Very poor quality first half from both teams but much better second. The best team won.

Very enjoyable. No diving, play acting or the blatant cheating you see in every mens game.

Fara Williams...really struggling to understand how she's fallen on her feet in BBC football commentary.
That 'machine gun' style delivery is difficult to listen to.

Re: England v Australia WWC
A ref who was so bad in the first half then does not give as much extra time as she should have . Then blows exactly on 6 minutes.
Standard appears to have improved, that was a good game.

At last we beat the Aussies at something and even better it was in a World Cup semi on their own patch. Karma to end the summer

Re: England v Australia WWC
They are very much 'up and coming' in the women's game, but seem to be peaking - Barca have won the Champions League 2 out of the last 3 years - basically their football is all about playing the Spain/Barcelona way so will want a lot of possession.
I've been impressed with them this tournament but we have Bronze and Walsh as 'insiders' as they both play for Barca. It'll come down to who can control the game, I'd really like to see us go for them from the off and not take our foot of the gas.... much the opposite of what the lads did in the Euros vs Italy

Re: England v Australia WWC
Id rather watch the grass grow and paint dry than watch this tripe. Better standard of football at mens non league level im afraid.
Re: England v Australia WWC
Absolutely world class whinging from the Aussie press at the moment. The truth is the Aussies were fecked the minute they found out you can't sandpaper a football
Re: England v Australia WWC
I've enjoyed this competition so far apart from the crap first half today with so many heavy passes and mispasses but if you think it's a poor standard just don't watch it.pushpinpussy wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 4:05 pmId rather watch the grass grow and paint dry than watch this tripe. Don’t watch it then you miserable sod….oh, and all these people saying that non-league men would beat them, I would love to see that…these girls would wipe the floor with them….pushpinpussy wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 4:05 pmId rather watch the grass grow and paint dry than watch this tripe. I don't understand why people continue to compare Women's football with Men's. It is a biological fact that men are, in general, fitter, faster and stronger than women. So to compare the two is disingenuous. Accept Women's football for what it is. A far more edifying spectacle than Gareth Boregate's dross. And if you don't like it, don't watch!pushpinpussy wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 4:05 pmId rather watch the grass grow and paint dry than watch this tripe. It’s come on leaps and bounds, the better the English women do the more funding and exposure they get to grow the game. I really enjoy watching them.Mondsley wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 4:44 pmI don't understand why people continue to compare Women's football with Men's.
