Re: ARTICLE: No TV games for Burnley in October
It might be more than ten games now with the increase in the number of games shown overall. So unless we go beyond the base line, the money we get from that part of the deal will be the same. I think the only time we went past it was in our first season in 2009/10. It was definitely ten games then and we were broadcast eleven times.

Can't believe we were on 11 times that season. We were bloody awful, apart from the Utd game (which wasn't televised).ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2023 4:53 pmIt might be more than ten games now with the increase in the number of games shown overall. Sneaked in because the final away game at Birmingham was strangely televised and then the final game against Spurs because when announced it looked as though they'd need a result to get into the Champions League but they'd already got in with a midweek win at Man City.Transpennine wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2023 5:01 pmCan't believe we were on 11 times that season. Thanks Tony. That Birmingham away game on TV is bizarre. Luckily I've wiped it from memory.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2023 5:12 pmSneaked in because the final away game at Birmingham was strangely televised and then the final game against Spurs because when announced it looked as though they'd need a result to get into the Champions League but they'd already got in with a midweek win at Man City.

We will have more TV games later in the season when competing for the Top 6

Bit of a pain not having any TV games in October as Saturday afternoons are always busier and harder to plan around. Friday evening and Sunday afternoon games are much better and the more we can get on TV this season the better.

I think they thought the Birmingham game would be a must win for us.Transpennine wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2023 8:33 amThanks Tony. That Birmingham away game on TV is bizarre. Luckily I've wiped it from memory.
Unfortunately they had too much faith in Lawsy and the boys.
