Re: Tella starts again...
Just committed a foul and you could hear a Plymouth fan calling him a 'dirty northern b*stard'

I would have been very happy to have seen him as our second signing after Beyer, and would still like to see him in a Burnley shirt this season.

Strong rumours Leverkusen are close to agreeing terms for Tella.

Either way he won't be coming here so let's just move on.Vino blanco wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 2:00 pmStrong rumours Leverkusen are close to agreeing terms for Tella.

Gone off injured again.
Re: Tella starts again...
It doesn't seem that we've tried really hard to sign him, so all this "will he/won't he" join us seems a bit irrelevant anyway.

A blind man trapped in a deep dark cave could see that when all the nonsense started it was more or less a guaranteed return based on a beaming smile & a warped analysis that he had enjoyed his time on loan that much he'd be pushing to come back, the sensible heads as always called it that Southampton would be 1s calling the shots.

Re: Tella starts again...
As we are supposed to have made a bid/bids, it seems a case of Southampton wanting more than we can buy similar for from across Europe.
No need to pay the British club premium for players given that the market we now operate in is so much broader.
Would love to have had Tella return, but not at a above market premium.

Re: Tella starts again...
Tella was nothing short of sensational for us, last season.
It’s a shame he won’t be coming to us permanently, but it’s not the end of the World.
I wish him every success this season, though.
