Burnley need 151 off 32 overs - but that will change as the stoppage continues

It's dramatic but it's not half a bit of a farce.

Littleborough can only win if both Burnley and Darwen get beat with 0 bonus points. Might happen with Darwen but be a miracle that even if Burnley lose that they won't get any batting bonus points.

Put that in a T20 context and with 9 wickets left it's almost a gimme. Why the toss on days like this is so important.

Littleborough have won but only got 10 points even though they bowled Clitheroe out. Don't understand why that is. Anyway, Burnley's to lose now.

Off again at Lowerhouse but on at Norden with Darwen needing 100 off 8 overs but 8 wickets down.

It sounds less ridiculous if you think of them as losing bonus points, reward for losing narrowly. A win is a win, but losers (if they come close) get bonuses for a near miss.

Bonus system:

1. Bowling bonuses - 2 points if you bowl the opposition out, win or lose.

2. Losing bonuses, awarded for the second innings performance:
If the losing side was batting, up to five points for getting within 50-40-30-20-10 runs of the opponents.
If the losing side was bowling, up to five points for getting wickets 5-6-7-8-9.

(With adjustments for DLS targets and reduced overs games.)

http://www.lancashireleague.com/
Why did Littleborough only get 10 points? They bowled Clitheroe out.

I don't think theres a scenario now where Burnley can't win it? No result 5 points. They will.surely get batting bonus points now as well even if the game finishes and they somehow lose.

The other LL website (not Play Cricket) is currently showing Littleborough top of the league with 164 points. I'm pretty sure Burnley will overhaul that. Congratulations to them. My BCC pals will be cockahoop!!

On the plus side...it's yet another game unbeaten against Burnley :D They just can't beat us :D

Congrats to Burnley. Rather them than Darwen.

A mess of a season with the weather where it looked like Houses ability to get games finished positively would serve them well. Once we lost De Swardt (who didn't pull up any trees) we sort of fell apart in general. Most definitely missing another decent batsman...number 3 was an issue all season and we need to replace Tom Walker too somehow.
If we plod on as is into next season i can see a season of struggle or mid table mediocrity.

😂 clown, ask the players and those that actually attend games… you’ll get a different answer.

Fair play to them, deserve it and some great lads, we’ve thrown it away this year which hurts but I’ve enjoyed it, watching the 1s to the 4ths, we go again next year.

Leave it Burnley1989. We all know Lower House is the biggest club in Burnley as they follow their team like no other team in the Lancashire League. Rosegrove massif turn out all the time but unfortunately competitions are about points on the board and the "poorly" supported BCC managed to accumulate more. We take no pleasure but at least Darwen didn't pip BCC to it.

From someone who is still decades behind with his knowledge of the Lancashire League. For years, Burnley were the bigger of the two teams, and by some distance, but no longer and not for almost twenty years now. I'm sure I saw something on here not long ago that showed the two teams had won a very similar number of trophies in that time and it is noticeable that they've come out of this season as the top two of the traditional Lancashire League teams.

I don't go now but I think everyone knows where my allegiance is, but this is a totally different Lowerhouse to the one that FCBurnley ever knew.

Such a shame they couldn't get out there and finish it today, would have been a much better way of doing it than a no result.

Maybe CT but Lower House got the rub of the weather at TM earlier in the season. I always remember East Lancs as BCC biggest rivals and now Darwen. The banter on BFC match days is always good between Rosegrove and BCC. Long may that continue

Just got back from Farnworth where the weather won again.
Padiham well on top with Settle 49 for 6 off half the overs, chasing Padiham's 240.

Settle had the worst of conditions but have been outclassed.

Back for the 3rd time next Sunday to finish it.

Worth mentioning that Burnley actually had the most no results due to the weather this season and lost the least amount of games so worthy Champions. They were also well on course to win today until rain intervened.

3 league titles in the last 4 seasons is some going and takes them to 18 titles overall just 3 behind Nelson in the all time list.

The mentions of crowds in any sport is always popular amongst losers. I wonder if Man City care that Man Utd get bigger crowds

Regarding the stream...

Yesterday we had an Internet issue, we already satellite it from the club house down to the scorebox as a cable can't be run long enough. Needless to say, we're all volunteers, trying to increase the exposure of local cricket, but what does that matter.

The live stream at Lowerhouse is an absolute disgrace.
As a volunteer club trying our best, "disgrace" about a live stream at an amateur cricket club.

Get a grip.

15 years ago, you had to wait for the radio, or the bloody Burnley Express.

Congratulations to Burnley on the league win.

Spot on Hopey - you are not the only club to have had streaming issues this season, often bad at Burnley home games too. Many years ago they used to publish the results and key performances in the Sunday papers but when that stopped, it was the local papers more often than not before the introduction of local radio.

First only effort was when RammyClaret91 started running an only scorebook for Ramsbottom games but credit to clubs who have tried to get things on YouTube.

Frustratingly, its been the only game where streamings gone wrong this season. We even commentated in full on the final!
Great job Hopey

"STAYING DOWN4EVER" tends to be a bit of a ---- with an issue when it comes to the House. Ignore him/her/them. If he has a problem with poor streaming he could always turn up at the gate, pay his money and watch it live.

To be fair it was virtually impossible to watch yesterday but, as I've said, not the only club who have had these issues during the season. I was busy watching the ODI in any case and keeping tabs on the scorecard from the West End.

Many congratulations to Burnley CC, a good season for Lowerhouse, Worsley Cup runners-up and a top half finish, together with running 4 XI's and the flourishing junior sections doing well ...

Hmmm, sounds like skullduggery to me so that there was no video evidence of Lowerhouse’s arch enemies lifting the trophy on their own patch!

I wonder how many titles The Mighty House have won. Must be at least 20 eh CT
Also 3 titles in last 4 years rather disproves the comment that they are the leading local team.
