It really is mind blowing incompetence from the VAR.

The clowns just get worse both on the pitch and in VAR.
PLEASE, scrap PGMOL and go back to the old system. 1 home match and 1 away match per club per season.

I bet they haven't overturned the poor penalty decision though.

PGMOL should be paying compensation to clubs for wrong decisions now

Football should bring in a system where when a referee makes a clear and obvious error there is someone watching who could help him and let him know he has made the wrong decision and it could be rectified within seconds.

I think you might have an idea there.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 7:59 amFootball should bring in a system where when a referee makes a clear and obvious error there is someone watching who could help him a nd let him know he has made the wrong decision and it could be rectified within seconds.
I doubt it would catch on though.

Re: Alexis Mac Allister red card
Do you mean someone with multiple cameras and instant replays, who has direct communication with the ref? It'll never work because the top 7 team might not like the outcome.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 7:59 amFootball should bring in a system where when a referee makes a clear and obvious error there is someone watching who could help him and let him know he has made the wrong decision and it could be rectified within seconds.

What is even worse is when VAR is used to overturn a correct decision, such as the handball against Barnes at Spurs.summitclaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 8:59 amDo you mean someone with multiple cameras and instant replays, who has direct communication with the ref? I'd suggest a different dynamic applied there.summitclaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 9:02 amWhat is even worse is when VAR is used to overturn a correct decision, such as the handball against Barnes at Spurs.

Re: Alexis Mac Allister red card
It was a correct decision, VAR was ensuring the laws of the game were applied - the bad one was days later when we didn't get a penalty for an identical situation at Villasummitclaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 9:02 amWhat is even worse is when VAR is used to overturn a correct decision, such as the handball against Barnes at Spurs.

Re: Alexis Mac Allister red card
A couple of serious questions in these types of scenarios
Who sits on the post match panels, are they qualified referees and how many make up the panel?
Does the panel have access to different additional TV footage to the VAR?
