Bathroom fitters

Post by BobHaidong » Thu Aug 24, 2023 7:05 pm

Does anyone have a recommendation for a bathroom fitter?

Recently had a terrible experience with an independent roofer so likely to be looking at using a company who can do the lot eg Wickes so that we’ve got some kind of protection if things don’t go to plan.

My father-in-law is after a local roofer. Who was your crap roofer? It would be good for him to know who to avoid.

Bob, from personal experience I'd avoid Wickes. I've dealt with worse companies, but they were fairly poor/disinterested in dealing with snagging when I recently had a kitchen fitted. They have a national call /support centre and if you phone it, the first thing that you come across is a pre recorded message warning of up to a 30 minute wait. It goes downhill from there.

Nick Entwistle is a one man band based in Hyndburn. He fitted my bathroom a few years back. I bought in all the materials (so you'll need to know what you want)...and he'll fit it for you. I reckon I saved at least 30% as compared to bringing in a specialist company. His number is 07894 311540. He's also registered with LCC Safe Traders.
