Died Thursday night, probably the best line up of Whitesnake before the MTV years.
RIP.

Remember seeing him and Micky Moody playing at The Mechanics a few years ago.

Sad news. Those early Whitesnake albums are just brilliant. Raw with straight in your face lyrics. Was just playing Day Tripper today which is the finest rendition of the Beatles classic in my opinion.
RIP Bernie

Sad news. Saw him with Whitesnake at Donington 1981 as special guests to AC/DC. Also a few years ago at Clitheroe grand doing an acoustic set supporting FM. Although by then he'd put a significant amount of weight on. Like most of us I guess! Talented guitarist. A sign of age when people you look up to in your youth pass away.

Bernie was from my home town of Buckingham, we used to kick about outside his house listening to Bernie bang out a few tunes from his bedroom window. A few years later I played snooker with Bernie, Cozy Powell and Micky Moody they were great days, he stayed local and was always the same, always had time for a chat and a laugh. RIP Bernie you did Buckingham proud.

Ah that's bloomin sad news. Was listening to Moody Marsden band just the other day. Saw him and Micky play several times. Didn't see early Whitesnake. What a beltin' musician. Very sad news.
