We look good in flashes but not sure this shape is helping us at all.

Look really open every single time villa go forward.

Not sure that would do anything.

They are just much better. Brownhill and Larsen would be chasing shadows.
No I'm not sure it would do anything either tbh! But we won't dominate games in the prem in a way that allows us the luxury of Amdouni, Foster, Koleosho and Benson on the pitch at the same time.

For the second time we're trying to build a team almost from scratch when the season has already begun, except this time were up against the big boys and going to get punished.

Not feeling Koleosho much at all. Loads of potential but he's been poor today.

Delcroix did well to save our defensive blushes.

Need to be more patient and stop giving the ball away cheaply. The Villa team look most dangerous when on the counter with their pace, and we are playing right into their strengths.

That is a fair point.

I do think this formation and players selected just isn’t working.

One of them 4 needs to be taken off for a more industrial type player IMO.

Delcroix with an ecellent tackle at the last.

I think this ref is going to give us nothing.

it's a huge ask for him at 18 years old, to come into the best league in the world as a promoted team and perform. I'm very suprised he's starting tbh ahead of someone like larsen.

I read that Aston Villa have caught teams offside more than any other this season. It was a ridiculous amount for 3 matches.

Absolutely. He must be very special. It was his first ever professional career start against City too. Talk about being thrown in the deep end…

I know what you mean, there’s flashes of potential here.

But I think undeniably villa have destroyed us. However I wouldn’t rule out a draw, the flashes could turn into something next half

Pinged it about a bit but nothing is sticking upfront and the midfield is non-existent off the ball. It's been total men against boys. It could be three or four.

We have in general play aye, we just look very vulnerable on the counter without threatening too much at the other end. The big moments are all being produced by Villa.

Hmm at times yeah. I mentioned before but the 2 week off gap for us hasn’t been ideal. Villa have had quite a bit of game time which helps with fluidity. While we haven’t, and not just that, still gelling new players.

Sounds very much like our defence today. I’m not saying he’s been great but there have been at least 5 or 6 worse performers this first half.

Midfield on the whole has been atrocious. I'm expecting us to find it more difficult than last season, obviously. But not for teams to gallop right through us. It's been really poor.

That’s fair, but similar to under Dyche we have decided to play a 2 man midfield against a 3.

We are really struggling in midfield and I think it makes sense either Ramsey or Brownhill comes on to give us a bit more solidity in midfield.

As much as Koleoshi looks bright, I would sub him to help with our team structure

Agree.

His problem is that he looks like a 'lolloper'. He made a couple of excellent interceptions, laid them off and appeared to drag his heels before moving on.
