Isn't it 7 loans in total?agreenwood wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 9:47 pmIt’s confusing, but I’ve read supplementary articles which suggest two loans from UK clubs permitted and another two from abroad (which are officially called “temporary transfers”).
On that basis a serious injury to Ekdal and any concern about Beyer being out for longer than predicted, might cause a rethink this week.
Re: Florist v Burnley - Match Thread
It’s something to build on that’s for sure. Winning breeds confidence much the same as losing drains it, so that’s a big win for us tonight in my opinion.JimmyRobbo wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 9:50 pmGet in!
Nicd to get a win on the board even though it's worth virtually nothing.

Anyone but a Manchester club in the draw please... literally ANYONE else.

It was good of them to wait until Tony got there to score the goal

Good win for us that. Nice little morale booster for our new team. With Spurs losing last night we can be proper into it on Saturday.
Re: Florist v Burnley - Match Thread
They will probably do their usual and keep saying the draw is next for about 30 minutes.

He's looked the part since coming to the club, always works the defenders on him. If he and Foster can click as a partnership they could be as good as Ings and Vokes.
Way to go yet, but looking good.

Sounds like Taylor and brownhill played very well tonight, they know how to grind games out, both must stay this season

Ekdals injury does not look good, going of the photo’s and reactions. I fear he may be out for some time, hope I’m wrong…

It will be national draw. A soft low league Southern softies United would be handy!

Sky sports making out as if we’ve committed daylight robbery “scoring with their only shot on target”… erm, we had two and Forest didn’t even get one on target.
Re: Florist v Burnley - Match Thread
Sounds like a bad knee injury for Ekdal and hopefully not bad ones for Ramsey and Vit.

Remember Maatsen going off on a stretcher with oxygen he was fine next game. Fingers crossed Ekdal’s is the sameagreenwood wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 9:58 pmYeah. Photos show him on the oxygen, which is never a good sign. Let’s hope for better news than it looks.

Very good win and a clean sheet. Will hopefully give the lads a boost and confidence that we can take on a possible relegation rival.

Re: Florist v Burnley - Match Thread
I thought that was 4 UK loans, only 2 at anyone time, but you can have more overseas loans to a maximum of 7, 6 from next season.

From the prem website - The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time. - Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer windoweastcoastclaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 10:05 pmI thought that was 4 UK loans, only 2 at anyone time, but you can have more overseas loans to a maximum of 7, 6 from next season.
Re: Florist v Burnley - Match Thread
Don't they have a rule that a player can't play for so many days after a concussion? That means no Ramsey on Saturday.

Sisyphus cheated death twice. Hades punishes him to rolling a boulder up a hill and every time he gets near the top it rolls back down and he has to start again, and he had to do this for all eternity. There's no ending, no final purpose, just the struggle. Camus says: that's life, it's absurd and you can never catch a break, might as well try to smile at it. That's us, Burnley FC. We're never gonna beat City. We draw them, push the boulder up the hill, then Haaland kicks it back down. We draw them in the cup and we're forced to do it again. Might as well laugh.fidelcastro wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 10:10 pmI never read Greek mythology.

I was under the impression that was for domestic loans, overseas loans were not included in that.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 10:10 pmFrom the prem website - The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time. - Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window
It's a bit complicated

It's a bit complicated
2 loans from premier league clubs
2 other loans from any other league in the world

Wouldn’t want to get in the way of a Rovers vs City clash, apparently Rovers are going to do City

On comms that 11 minutes added time felt like I heard brownhill and Taylor’s name a lot
Re: Florist v Burnley - Match Thread
Just got back to the hotel. If VK doesn’t seriously consider Muric, Taylor, Brownhill for Saturday then there’s something wrong. The 3 of them were class tonight.
Muric is an extra outfield player, always an option, and made a few great claims from crosses/corners.
Taylor dealt with everything as we’ve seen him do over the years, looked like he was playing for a shirt to me.
Brownhill, engine, organising, clever play, again looked to be playing for a Shirt.
Overall a very good night, still think Berge needs to toughen up and win more for his size. Odobert looked good. JBG always an option. JBL made some very clever runs and picked out expertly by Muric, typical Muric to Tella from last season.
Came off the turf Sunday struggling to see where it clicks with the new lads, but tonight re-assured me that we’ll be fine.

Just got up in Thailand. Good news. But shame about the injuries, especially Ekdal's. Hopefully it isn't as serious as it appeared. UTC
