Salford City Away in the League Cup
First ever time we will have played them competitively. So a new ground for those who manage to get tickets.
Nice and local and a great chance to progress.
Should be a live game on Sky I’d imagine with the drama of who owns them etc.
1,200 tickets which will be very difficult to get, ballot again ??

Leeds had 33 shots against them last night and still lost. Must be some sort of record.

1200 terrace and 200 seating tickets according to Football Ground Guide.

Re: Salford City Away in the League Cup
Salford seemed to have empty spaces in the home end against Leeds.
Hopefully they give us a few more tickets to ensure a sellout.

This is the perfect game to see how the new ticket scheme at the wishes of the FAB works out. Luckily it is midweek rather than a Saturday which will slightly lower the demand.

At least it will most likely be televised for those of us who aren't lucky enough to get a ticket.

Re: Salford City Away in the League Cup
Based on historical evidence Sky are more likely to show an all prem fixture featuring one of the big 6.

Re: Salford City Away in the League Cup
Sky will ignore the idea of Prem sides making changes and probably show
Newcastle v City
Chelsea v Brighton
After those 2 Brentford v Arsenal, Villa v Everton, Utd v Brighton, Ipswich v Wolves, Lincoln v West Ham, would probably all be further up the pecking list than our game

X amount of people will qualify for points number required and will need to win the fastest finger round.
Re: Salford City Away in the League Cup
That sounds better than the official guidelines for allocations:
"Clubs are allocated 3,000 tickets or 10% of the stadium capacity if lower, for away league matches. For League Cup matches the away allocation is 10% of stadium capacity and for FA Cup matches the away allocation is 15% of stadium capacity. For UEFA Cup competitions, the away allocation is 5% of the stadium capacity. These allocations may be adjusted up or down to take into account segregation arrangements."

Those that went last night should get first go at the tickets, it's got nothing to do with me getting home at 2:10am this morning

I agree. And that too has nothing to do with me getting home in the early hours Though we did go to the pub for two pints before leaving NottinghamAGENT_CLARET wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 11:33 amThose that went last night should get first go at the tickets, it's got nothing to do with me getting home at 2:10am this morning

No harm in mixing Palace and Brighton up, neither club would be upset about that

Re: Salford City Away in the League Cup
1,341 was the largest away following at Salford last season, by Bradford City. Assume that’s about what clubs get?

How have you come to that conclusion?Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 7:47 pmby seeing what the set the 1st threshold at. If it’s 2200/2000 then would indicate new system is a waste of time.

Re: Salford City Away in the League Cup
Went to grammar school in Salford in the 1960's. Still meet up in Manchester with a few of them 3 or 4 times a year. Already been chatting with one of them regarding ticket allocation but he's in the dark as much as we are. Interesting night ahead though.

Re: Salford City Away in the League Cup
Away allocations are more to do with ground/away end practicalities and SC away end holds 1200 , unless they’ve extended since last season ? Though SC’s support is v small and I guess they’ll want the ground full . Tight wads etc will be pleased to know you could get 2 pints and a pie for a tenner last season .( v Barrow )

No different to the Championship where Leeds will be on more than anyone else this seasons regardless of how good or bad they are.

I wonder how many United cup games in the last 10-20 years haven’t been on TV.
