Re: Ekdal
Just seen Ekdal injury on sky sports news, looks like his leg is stuck in the ground and the force of the forest player goes right on his right knee area but his leg foot doesn’t move, looks a nasty one
Re: Ekdal
Fingers crossed that it proves not to be as serious as feared. Either way, a real shame for Ekdal and a problem created in terms of recruiting, so near to the end of the window.
Here’s to a speedy recovery and hopefully some positive news on the injury.

Re: Ekdal
Absolutely devastated for him. Hoping it isn't too bad. I am recovering from a my second bad knee injury, and whilst I am nowhere near an elite athlete they are horrible. Hope he gets back fit asap, and it doesn't ruin his season.

Re: Ekdal
Kompany just confirmed in the press conference this aft that there was more worry about Ekdal at first, but he's on a typical rehab pathway like the other players. Didn't give a time scale but good to hear it's not as bad as first feared.

Re: Ekdal
Did they mention if he's had a scan or just treating him like that until they know otherwise after a scan?ArmchairDetective wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 1:47 pmKompany just confirmed in the press conference this aft that there was more worry about Ekdal at first, but he's on a typical rehab pathway like the other players. Re: Ekdal
Can't recall if they mentioned a scan. But they did say they were still waiting to hear about the outcome for Vitinho, which maybe indicates that both Ekdal and Ramsey have been checked out? Can't imagine he would have said they're relieved Ekdal's on a typical recovery pathway if the necessary tests hadn't been done...ŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 2:17 pmDid they mention if he's had a scan or just treating him like that until they know otherwise after a scan?

No injury is good news but that's better news today on Ekdal than feared last night

Re: Ekdal
He was having a very good game but that's because he is a very good player. The longer he lay on the ground motionless( as it seemed from the other end) the more worried I became. Good luck to him in his recovery and again sincerely hoping it's not as bad as first feared.

Re: Ekdal
Saw what 123easy saw in his post above. Looked like a hyper-extension to me. Painful but shouldn’t be too long.
Re: Ekdal
Totally agree. It was a very somber feeling, trying to look the whole length of the pitch to see what was going on. At first, the guys around us weren’t sure if it was Ekdal or Al-Dakhil who’d gone down.Silkyskills1 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 2:40 pmHe was having a very good game but that's because he is a very good player. Re: Ekdal
You’ve inadvertently giving him the new nickname of The Dalek, perfect anagram
On his return he will exterminate opposition centre forwards

Re: Ekdal
Seen a stat yesterday that he's yet to be on the losing side with us in his 10 games played.
Let's hope he heals well and comes back fit.

Re: Ekdal
Hope it’s not too bad. Hes one I’d be interested to see in a back three with any two of the three at either side of him.
He’s our best option in the air too and a real threat from set pieces .
