Re: Luton v West Ham
They're stood outside that terrace street entrance right now on Sky, I remember going there.. strange going up some stairs over peoples backg arden to get to the stand.
Anyway be interesting to watch a Luton home game in the PL.

West Ham’s team on paper looks really strong.
Bowen Alvarez Pacqueta Ward-Prose Benrahma
Some midfield that.

Pitch looks new and not very robust.
Re: Luton v West Ham
Pitch looks on the small side?
Re: Luton v West Ham
Why is Zouma getting booed? Is it because he kicked that cat, or is there a more Luton-specific reason?

A beautiful goal to give the Iron the lead.

That's handy. The bottom needs some padding.

especially when you consider he was cheaper than Cole Palmer. Shameful Southgate hasn't called him upJimmyRobbo wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 8:37 pmA beautiful goal to give the Iron the lead.

Good for us.
Agree with JimmyRobbo about Ward-Prowse. Excellent signing.

Kaminski playing volleyball, Bowen should have put him in the back of the net.

Luton are going to be a bit like we were under Dyche insofar as I can't see them scoring many goals from open play but they'll be dangerous from set-pieces.

Re: Luton v West Ham
Technically, Luton are as poor as you see. Needlessly passing balls to the opposition and passing it out of touch.
They have a lot of heart and are going to be awful to play against at Kenilworth Rd. As someone said earlier, it's a very tight pitch and they are a big tema with lots of energy. I hope they hurry up, lose their edge, get into the routine of losing and accepting it quickly.
Still showing lots of spirit.

Luton are gash. They’ll struggle to reach Derbys record.

Re: Luton v West Ham
I think they'll get some odd good results hustling with their physicality but a lack of quality & consistency will be their downfall but anything different will be a bonus for them, massive underdogs from the start.

If Luton are conceding goals from corners, they’re knackered.

Seemed an easy header for the 2nd.
Zouma peels back and nobody follows him.
JWP with an assist.

Survived the handball.
Re: Luton v West Ham
Wouldn't have been surprised had that been given, very lucky JWP.
Definitely not complaining though, keeps them on 0 below us.

Hits his arm, changes direction of the ball, arm out from his side. No idea how it's not a penalty. Shocking again from VAR

Ask Ian MacL, he's an expert on the machinations of VAR

It’s not a penalty that. He can’t get out of the way of it as he’s blind sided and his arm is in a natural position for someone jumping.

Re: Luton v West Ham
So Luton remain bottom but if BBC stats are accurate they limited West Ham to only three shots on target. They make themselves very tough to beat.

Which is all well and good until you reach the point where you simply have to start to win a few. That point may well arrive very early in the season for Luton.

Re: Luton v West Ham
I thought West Ham never got out of 2nd gear, really disappointing. It was more like a training match, and Said Benrahma was half asleep.
Luton showed a lot of passion and energy, and worked really hard, but I can't see where the flair is to be a constant danger at this level.
If the results keep going against them, you could easily see heads dropping.
