Rangers lead 1-0, Kemar Roofe, awful mistake at the back by Celtic defender.

Watching the Palace/Wolves game, will be very disappointed if we don't take points off either team. They both look poor.

Palace take the lead

We’ve got to aim to set up like these two teams. Both make us look like an amateur hour team yesterday.

McGinn hardly had a kick. He totally dominated us. Cash continues to be prolific with another goal pity for him it was an og.

Wolves were excellent at United, should have won it.
My biggest concern is that there are very few teams that look truly poor, sadly so far we're one of the few.

This. It was there first time playing an experimental (for Emery) 3 at the back as well.

They also got turned over by Newcastle 5-1.

I know Footy doesn’t work like this but that’s a bit of an indictment, imo.

Palace look good. They’ve a really solid defensive structure which allows their fast and skilful attackers to do their thing.

Wolves be in the relegation mix this season. Losing Nunes / Neves / Moutinho in one summer seems a bit much.

That's what we need to do with our defence as we look ok on the attack, especially with the pace we have.

I think so. Cant remember a time (Leicester title aside) when the so called lesser teams have been so good. Sure Kompany said in the documentary that even the bottom 3 last season spent at least £140 million?

They might look poor. We look abysmal. We expect to get better. So will they . Both are a lot better than us. Premier League experience and ability all over the pitch. We need three worse teams than us. Neither of these two are in that category. I don’t see us doing well against either without an overhaul of the current starting 11 and a massive tactical wake up from our manager. I expect him to look at both during the international break.

Unfortunately, the league has moved on immeasurably since we were last here and we’re miles off. Look at what Villa did to us and look at what Liverpool are doing to them. We’ll get better, no doubt, but it’s whether we have enough time, given this incredibly difficult run of fixtures at the start of the season (and the fact we’ve to play the 3 we’ve played away from home🤦🏻‍♂️).

It’s just the reality of the situation we find ourselves in. To be honest, I’m bored with the billionaire’s plaything that is the Premier League already. The Championship ain’t so bad. That’s not me saying we’re already down by the way. I’m just saying we’re most likely out of our depth but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. 👍🏼

The true judge of that is how well the likes of Sheff United do against Villa and Spurs at home. Thry very nearly hung on for a point against Man City. A game we were dead and buried after half a hour.

They only hung on because City missed loads of chances. If they had been as clinical as they were against us it could have been a rugby score.

to be fair Man City had 30 shots against Sheff United and couldn't hit a barn door whilst Sheff Utd had 6 attempts, they had 17 against us and we had 8

VAR needs to get binned.

Imagine thinking you have won game in last few mins, celebrated like mad only to be offside. Players might aswell not celebrate untill the VAR check.

Delayed goal celebrations from the crowd too. Ruins the game.

Yes it has it’s been a lot wider.

98/99 we finished 15th in the third division(now league 1)

Man Utd won the treble, I’d say that gap was a lot wider.

We’re at least in the same league now as the top teams and the current treble winners.

The joys of football clubs being owed by countries etc nowadays. Impossible to close the gap now probably.
