Dyche Junior

Post by Kitch1966 » Tue Sep 05, 2023 11:42 pm

"Like father like son." Young Max Dyche (son of Sean) received a straight red card tonight for Northampton Town at home to Oxford United. His dad could put himself about a bit back in the day so looks like Max has picked up a few of his dad's traits. :)

I’m intrigued too as to the error/edit.

Max Dyche was sent off for handling the ball and denying a goalscoring opportunity

Nice and what about the other 200+ appearances?

He said in an interview while he was at Burnley that he was sent off just twice in his career.

I don’t remember Sean being a particularly dirty player.

Yes but I thought that was over a period of around 450 appearances not 245

Just got it from some stats site, I was intrigued at how many actual red cards he got

For those old enough to remember him, Dyche was a no-nonsense stopper and although I am surprised that he only got sent off twice the game was different then. He would certainly have more red cards to his name if he was playing in this current era.

A handball sending off is hardly the same thing! Waste of a post, although the thread updates are interesting!
