House Removal recommendations

Post by claretburns » Wed Sep 06, 2023 10:59 am

I am moving house this weekend, back to Burnley after 10 years away, I currently don't live that far away, Halifax, and wondered if anyone had any recommendations for removal firms around Burnley.

You’ve left it a bit late if you want to move this weekend! We had to book a couple of months in advance when we moved recently.

I’ll dig out the name of the removals firm if you like, they are based in Burnley and were very good.

Edit- it was Craig Atkinson Removals

To be honest I have until 8th October to do the move, I only got the keys for the house yesterday and next weekend I shall be going to Turkey for 12 days, so a bit pushed for time really, thanks for the name of the removal firm, shall contact them now and see if any availability.

Thread from a few years ago, if DC are trading I would use them again I picked them up from here. Family and friends used them a couple of years ago.

Ive used a ‘go compare’ type site called ‘shiply’

They contact all sorts of shipping companies and they come to you with prices.

It was very handy when I used them. They emailed me just this week to say they can do removals at sometimes 75% off what actual removal firms would charge
