The debate regarding loyalty points etc will run and run, but its all quite simple.
If you watched the Turfcast podcast interview with Russell Ball, the Fan experience manager he explained that our fanbase is largely an older fanbase that doesn't travel and anyone who wanted to go to an away game last season could have gone to about 19 of the 23 away games as they generally went down to general season ticket holders or even general sale.
I can only think of Huddersfield, Blackpool, and Luton that all sold out at 6,000pts +, and of course Rovers that went to a
Thw new loyalty points systen rewards current active fans who go home and away regularly, and will do even more so now with the 20pts for an away game, so if you are season ticket holder who only goes to maybe 1 or 2 away games a season you'll soon fall down the priority chain and those season ticket holders that travel regularly will be the ones with the highest points and will be first priority and quite rightly so.
However as said seeing as most games will get down to general season ticket holders and even general sale, they're will be plenty of tickets for everyone.
For games like Bournemouth, Luton and Salford where there is only a small away allocation, it may not go beyond the 1st or 2nd priority window and peoplw may not get a ticket, but still plenty of other away games to go at to gain loyalty points.
Some people feel hard done by, but if they have had a season ticket for the past 5 years and gone to plenty away games or even a few then there's not much to worry about in general, and in general the majority of us can now wait until its our turn in the priority window and build up our own points over time rather than having to borrow other people's points to try to ensure getting a ticket.

It's a maximum of five I think with all being allocated to friends & family who have the required number of points.

Broadcast?
Or talk about it on a discussion forum, where others are talking about the same subject
Why pick on one poster?

2100 points has not been that hard to get to if you do a few away games a season. Not much you can do about other people buying for other people. I can't imagine that it's been that many, and if it is, then probably because there's more people now who can do it!
As for away terraces, I was at Fleetwood, Morecambe and Burton, I was thinking Oldham then remembered that the seats were all covered in birdshit and the new stand was left empty with the owners dispute.

Re: 2023/24: Salford City v Burnley – Cup Ticket Information
Despite all those boadting of obtaining tickets in different ways, I have gained, at last, from the new system, which records my home and away attendance, without it being worthless, when compared to perpetual ST holders. I got mine ok, as in the Upper levels now.

There won't be a stream at all, the League Cup has some weird blackout rule so literally only the United vs Palace game and Newcastle vs City game will be broadcast anywhere in the world as far as I know.

It would still have sold out, but I agree that it isn't fair that people with insufficient points jump the queue by using their friends' points.dougcollins wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 5:19 pmIt would be interesting to know if it would have sold out if everybody had played fair, not borrowing points etc?

This is the most frustrating thing. I suspect it’s rife. I was talking to a United fan on a train recently and he said that away fans have to collect their tickets from the ground with ID. How that works I have no idea, but I’d support that for these popular games.lakedistrictclaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 5:31 pmIt would still have sold out, but I agree that it isn't fair that people with insufficient points jump the queue by using their friends' points.
Hugely disagree with the premium membership too.

Picking up from ground is fine, in fact it used to be the only way, but a little unfair for those that don't live locallyNewClaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 6:33 pmThis is the most frustrating thing. No, the away ground.
He told me he’d been to Turf Moor once but only to collect a ticket to give to a friend as they make you collect with ID at the ground.
(Obviously in this case that system was also flawed but only for local-ish games where people would bother to do that)

It's absolutely rife and the new system only perpetuates it. There is of course an answer but it depends on people being less selfish.NewClaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 6:33 pmThis is the most frustrating thing. I suspect it’s rife.
