Re: Connor Roberts
Tomorrow, sorry.
Re: Connor Roberts
I hope no-one has to ask the question 'why couldn't you defend like that for Burnley'.
Re: Connor Roberts
It's being shown on BBC iPlayer and S4C (and S4C online). KO 1945. S4C (a welsh channel) is on Virgin Channel 164 in England.

Re: Connor Roberts
Let's hope he has a confidence boosting good game.
He was shocking last week at left back. Not all his fault but it's bound to affect the players.

Re: Connor Roberts
Everything we're doing at the moment is slowly destroying players confidence, we've picked new signings over the players that got us there despite generally not being any higher calibre of player:Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 10:01 amLet's hope he has a confidence boosting good game.

Zaroury/Benson out for Koleosho
Muric out for Trafford
Brownhill out for Berge
Ekdal behind O'Shea and Delcroix
Taylor out for Delcroix
Al Dakhil moved to right back
Roberts moved to left back
System and formation change
No good for confidence and has killed all last season's momentum which is usually crucial for newly promoted teams

Re: Connor Roberts
The only good thing about watching wales on S4C is laughing at how they pronounce Ampadu.
Re: Connor Roberts
It looked to me like he played more of left wing back than left back. Missing in defence.

Just my opinion but I have always thought that it takes 4 or 5 games for a player to adjust to a different position.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 10:01 amLet's hope he has a confidence boosting good game.

But RB to LB in a build from the back system where you receive the ball at chest height with a man about to hit you, well that could take some counselling sessions just to get your head around it

Re: Connor Roberts
I presume Vinny has them all training in different positions to get used to changes and it's not his first game at left back.BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 2:05 pmJust my opinion but I have always thought that it takes 4 or 5 games for a player to adjust to a different position.

The constant having to cut back onto his right foot and slow the game down should see it his last.

This is exactly how I see it.bumba wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 10:44 amEverything we're doing at the moment is slowly destroying players confidence, we've picked new signings over the players that got us there despite generally not being any higher calibre of player:

Textbook what not to do after promotion -
Innovation is good… sometimes trying to reinvent the wheel can be disastrous. Pivotal run of games coming up soon.
Re: Connor Roberts
Good win for Wales tonight, beating Croatia 2-1, with Roberts playing.

Re: Connor Roberts
Yep, good win that, 2 goals for Harry Wilson. Croatia lost at home to (now group leaders) Turkey midweek too and Wales are now level with Croatia on 10 points. Armenia away and Turkey at home remaining for Wales.

Or if you look at the actual factsbumba wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 10:44 amEverything we're doing at the moment is slowly destroying players confidence, we've picked new signings over the players that got us there despite generally not being any higher calibre of player:

Benson out injured
Ekdal out injured
Al Dakhill played mostly at centre back
Brownhill and Berge both playing
Roberts played most games at right back
Taylor played more games than Delcroix at left back.
But don’t let the facts get in the way of a good old f’in moan.
