It’s horrific. Have hardly seen it mentioned in the US. Could be 10,000+ dead.

Absolutely terrible with so much loss of life and not forgetting the earthquake in Morocco. Other than the BBC Thai service, very little reported here.

There are some before and after satellite pics on the NY Times which are horrendous. The scale of the devastation and loss of life in what is quite a compact area is just unimaginable.

Horrific, poor people.
When you compare some of the horrors that can happen throughout the planet, and then listen to what people in this country imagine is the end of the world, we really are a spoilt society.
I pray we do our bit to help them .

Absolutely tragic - I’ve been looking at which charitable organisations are likely to make an impact providing relief in the area; seems the International Rescue Committee (IRC) are pretty reputable for a ‘large’ organisation.
