The tresor criticism is just superb. A football message board wouldn't be the same without that level of absurdity

Kompany was class in his interview after the game, unlike Heckingbottom at the weekend

I know it was only a cameo appearance, but Tresor didn't impress me in the short time he was on although he did see plenty of the ball.
Bloody Hell mate guy plays a quarter of a game and he doesn’t impress you ,you should nonayforever be allowed anywhere near the Turf with a stupid comment like that.

Agree! It’s laughable hearing managers use the old cliche ‘after the luck we’ve had with VAR’ nonsense as if that has some bearing on the decision being discussed. 🤣

Now I've calmed down a bit, lots to be positive about, not least VKs interview where he said there is so much potential in this team and we're improving.

Somebody earlier in this thread said they weren't impressed by Tresor. I thought the complete opposite, he will be class. Touch, vision, pace, he has it all.

I personally believe Hecky’s comments were needed at the weekend.

The refs are killing the game, intentionally or not they are.

As for Tresor? He looked every bit a PL player. Some real good touches

One day an extremely brave referee will be asked to go and look at a monitor and will actually decide to stick with his original decision, because in his opinion he got it right first time! At which point I'll probably trip over my own jaw!!!

I don’t usually comment on post mortems but I feel I must after that game. VAR is unfit for purpose. Their handball in the build up to their goal was allowed, where a less obvious hand ball in the build up to ours wasn’t allowed. The red card was marginal; I’ve seen worse ignored in many other games. I am seething that incompetence has stolen 2 points off us, and the forest forum agrees with me. Due to my absolute hatred of VAR, I will spend more time watching the Championship than the Prem this season. If I had a season ticket, I’d nail it to Jones’s forehead, with a very long nail or three.

Treaor did pretty much everything right. Great control of the ball and fantastic passing in tight areas

Fair point but Maatsen is still unproven as a PL FB. Fine footballer though he is Chelsea haven’t played him there in a meaningful match.

If you haven’t already it’s worth listening to the Kompany interview with JJ Watt. He talks about the talent in the squad like he’s really, really excited by it. Words to the effect of “this season will be hard but get through it and nobody knows how good we’re going to be”.

It’s very infectious and exciting, if potentially a bit exaggerated.

Berge is definitely a better player behind the front line, than he is in front of the back 4. For his size he is so weak in the tackle, but did well tonight, and it was never handball

Berge glides when he’s running with the ball, he will cause damage playing the role he did tonight when he came on

I don't know why he should waste time either, but he did, and after the weekend and all the discussion, he should have known better. I was screaming because I didn't want him to get booked.

This. I thought his touch was excellent.
Did you see that high ball which he played to the right outside of the foot? That's some Bergkamp stuff.

He did surprise me with his pace, almost as fast as Koleosho it seems. Let him start next game instead of JBG who's just way too slow for the wing position, doesn't go past his defenders, has good passing and work rate but in the PL you'd expect more from a right winger. Tresor and Koleosho look like our best options so far. Quite disappointed with Zaroury so far to be honest, I expected him to carry the offence this season. Looks like it's going a bit too fast for him.

Amdouni is pure class. Today you could see better what he's about. Great goal as well. Really enjoyed him play. Amdouni Tresor and Koleosho should be our attackers with a strong Foster ahead of them.

Next game maybe a chance to do things differently and play Berge or Ramsey on the 10. Amdouni can play as a striker too he does so for the Austrian national team.
