Yep, I agree. I wouldn’t even wish stuff like this on fans of Blackburn. We all deserve to have the right to support our town team.

Re: Sheffield Wednesday
More bad news where the ones suffering will be decent people who just want to support their club.
Sheffield Wednesday are not a club I'm particularly fond of but I hope they can get things sorted with better ownership.

Re: Sheffield Wednesday
I woke early this morning - yes, as I always tend to do these past few years - half listened to an interview on R4 Today programme, approx 6:20. The interviewee was explaining why there are lots and lots of American investors that are looking to buy football clubs in England. It's all to do with the relative value of English football clubs compared with American sports franchises.
Re: Sheffield Wednesday
Would never wish any club to become a farce due to incompetent owners. I know how I’d feel if my club was to suffer like this.

If they start again as a Phoenix club they can pick another day of the week.My choice would be Sheffield Monday.

2-0 down after 7 minutes. It’s turning out to be a bad week for the city of Sheffield.
Re: Sheffield Wednesday
2-0 down already. The natives were booing very early in this game.

Can't say they don't deserve it the way they shafted Darren Moore after getting them promoted.

The sacking of Moore is down to the terrible owners. Personally I’ve got a soft spot for Weds, I hope they manage to extricate themselves from the mess they’re in.Colburn_Claret wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2023 8:22 pmCan't say they don't deserve it the way they shafted Darren Moore after getting them promoted.

Re: Sheffield Wednesday
What is that 8 league goals already for Clarke?
Re: Sheffield Wednesday
They will want a lot more for him now. Maybe we should have paid the reported £15m.
Re: Sheffield Wednesday
Yeah, I like Wednesday.
Worked with a few over the years and they’ve been spot on.
Proper club, and it’s the best ground in the UK after the Turf.

Beware owners with big egos!
Re: Sheffield Wednesday
I think they should change their name according to the day they play. Last night they would have been Sheffield Friday. It means they could sell seven times the amount of goods they do now.rufus lumley wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2023 6:47 pmIf they start again as a Phoenix club they can pick another day of the week.My choice would be Sheffield Monday.

Those types have always been around, and it's certainly not a modern thing. I remember an older relative of ours mentioning something about scumbags chanting 'Aberfan'.
Re: Sheffield Wednesday
Sadly true, heard it many times at Swansea and Cardiff, just the same as Munich 58 etc ,sadly very common in the 70sClovius Boofus wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 8:18 pmThose types have always been around, and it's certainly not a modern thing. Re: Sheffield Wednesday
Definitely happened when we played Cardiff at home 72-73 season. Idiots on the Longside were chanting Aberfan throughout the game.
Unlike today though with knowledge gained from the media and the internet, most of them could possibly be excused for not having a clue about what bile they were chanting.
It was different down at Ninian Park though. Didn’t hear much taunting about Aberfan down there and it wasn’t a pleasant place to visit in the 70’s, believe me.
I would like to think that in this current day and age it is only isolated dickhe@ds who tarnish the name of football clubs with their ignorant stupid actions. Incidents like these are very rare now, thankfully.

Good. If they have done this and it’s not photo shopped they should also be prosecuted for hate crime if sufficient evidence.

Despicable bastards, I hope they get everything that is coming their way from every corner of this land.
Re: Sheffield Wednesday
According to Owlstalk, the bloke in grey in the top right of the photo wasn't at the match and so the photo isn't what it claims to be. Put the lynch mob away until the facts come out!
Re: Sheffield Wednesday
This sounds like a load of rubbish. Pending the facts, I'm quite happy to say this is disgusting behaviour.

Re: Sheffield Wednesday
I must admit, when I first saw the photo, I thought it looked photoshopped, but then it begs the question who on earth would do THAT? I hope it’s sorted quickly because it really is disgraceful.
Re: Sheffield Wednesday
In fairness to the guys on Owlstalk, they can’t believe anyone would do something as vile as this so are wondering if it was a set up?

Re: Sheffield Wednesday
Looks like a photoshop job to me. No glare or shadows on the screen, just a crystal clear image which doesn’t seem real. Either way there are some sick people around.
