Bizarre challenge from Charlie, needlessly aggressive.

Gordon had progressed so much from the diving little squirt that we last encountered.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's a third red in six games.

Is Kompany going to change something?

They are absolutely dominant.

Jayrod struggled against Salford. That said our options are very limited.

How are we still only 1-0 down. Incredible.

Enjoying the physicality coming into it.

We cant let em run through us, if it takes a few cards, **** it. We look stronger this half.

Just coming back everytime - absolutely nowt sticking whenever we go long.

Surprised Ramsey isn’t one of the two off.

He's left Ramsey on. Interesting to see where he moves him to because, atm, he's just a passenger.

Many could see the problems with being small, lightweight and inexperienced. Most of the young players will improve and add value but I’m not sure we strengthened properly and in the right areas for the here and now. Staggering when you think how much we spent that we look so far off it.

Baffling subs honestly. Koleosho looked far livelier than Ramsey who's been in Trip's pocket

Hope I'm wrong and he scores but putting Jay on feels like playing with 10 men at this level

What are people watching? Koleosho has barely had a kick for about half an hour. I'll accept that Ramsey has been poor and could've come off, but Newcastle had totally sussed Koleosho out.

I’ll say something a bit more positive.

We’ve actually defended ok in general, shape has been good and Trafford has made some good saves.

On the ball we’ve been completely suffocated though.

Trafford has kept us in this game, but his distribution is not close to muric quality

But that would require a corner beating the first man.

Our passing has been poor. putting ourselves in danger. Passing into the wrong zones.

A difficult game but we've looked better defensively, so far.

To be fair we haven't seen Muric play against a press like this one.

Not many are - to expect Muric’s level of playing out from the back would have been expecting way too much.

Trafford took that ball like a proper keeper.

Al Dak just gave the ball away again as we should have been coming away on attack.
