Bizarre challenge from Charlie, needlessly aggressive.

Re: Clarets Vs Newcastle
Gordon had progressed so much from the diving little squirt that we last encountered.
Re: Clarets Vs Newcastle
Wouldn't be surprised if it's a third red in six games.

Probably a bit fed up of trips constant whingeing at the ref

Is Kompany going to change something?

Re: Clarets Vs Newcastle
Jayrod struggled against Salford. That said our options are very limited.
How are we still only 1-0 down. Incredible.

Enjoying the physicality coming into it.
We cant let em run through us, if it takes a few cards, **** it. We look stronger this half.

Just coming back everytime - absolutely nowt sticking whenever we go long.
Surprised Ramsey isn’t one of the two off.

He's left Ramsey on. Interesting to see where he moves him to because, atm, he's just a passenger.

Too profligate.
Re: Clarets Vs Newcastle
Many could see the problems with being small, lightweight and inexperienced. Most of the young players will improve and add value but I’m not sure we strengthened properly and in the right areas for the here and now. Staggering when you think how much we spent that we look so far off it.

Re: Clarets Vs Newcastle
Baffling subs honestly. Koleosho looked far livelier than Ramsey who's been in Trip's pocket
Hope I'm wrong and he scores but putting Jay on feels like playing with 10 men at this level

Excited to see Larsen, he’s been one of our few highlights this season in his appearances imo.

J Rod will get stuck in a bit at least but no use if we keep passing it backwards again all half

Rodriguez has looked poor for some time. Let’s hope he offers something.

They’re exactly the type of balls I’d like to see Beyer play when he steps in.

Go on Jay…. Get into em
Re: Clarets Vs Newcastle
What are people watching? Koleosho has barely had a kick for about half an hour. I'll accept that Ramsey has been poor and could've come off, but Newcastle had totally sussed Koleosho out.

Passing is simply awful
Re: Clarets Vs Newcastle
I’ll say something a bit more positive.
We’ve actually defended ok in general, shape has been good and Trafford has made some good saves.
On the ball we’ve been completely suffocated though.

Trafford has kept us in this game, but his distribution is not close to muric quality

Our passing has been poor. putting ourselves in danger. Passing into the wrong zones.
A difficult game but we've looked better defensively, so far.

To be fair we haven't seen Muric play against a press like this one.

Re: Clarets Vs Newcastle
Trafford took that ball like a proper keeper.
Al Dak just gave the ball away again as we should have been coming away on attack.

Enough of Trafford ******* around at the back!......It's like he's holding a bomb & has to get rid of it.
Re: Clarets Vs Newcastle
Don't think I've seen a Burnley side with so little threat for a long time
Re: Clarets Vs Newcastle
Been really disappointed with Berge on the ball today.
