Inept and spineless

Agree with this succinct post.
I think the OP rubbed a few up the wrong way with the word spineless. There was ineptness at times but the team tried their very best.

Re: Inept and spineless
Both goals were self inflicted wounds from mistakes by Burnley defenders. Odobert had Trippier on toast for the last 10 minutes and Koleosho ran Burn ragged for the first 10 minutes. Berge had a stormer and there were other good performances - keep the faith!

Re: Inept and spineless
VK knows what is needed, but presently we have some incredibly gifted and attack minded flair players who can inflict damage , and within their ranks players who are slower to react, and their mistakes are punished instantly. In turn the creative efforts become wasted, and those that can make a difference begin to tire.
Once it becomes joined up we will win, and continue winning.
Looks a bad start, but criticism of a manager who did what he did last season is way off the mark.

Re: Inept and spineless
No doubt we'll improve. And we have had some tough fixtures. The problem is if you aren't stealing the odd point from tough games, ones against teams like Luton become much bigger games with more pressure and expectation. Getting that first win is really important asap.
Re: Inept and spineless
Tomorrow night is a must win, if we don't it's a massive possibility that we head in to November winless. You simply don't stay up that way!
Win tomorrow and confidence could be up and it's a possibility we then beat Chelsea at home and pick points up away at Brentford and Bournemouth

Everything looks rosey then
Re: Inept and spineless
Foster will make all the difference tomorrow.
Re: Inept and spineless
Certainly some worrying comments after the weekend but you can take a lot of them with a pinch of salt. We were undoubtably better vs Forest and United. However, doesn't that just confirm that Newcastle are better than Forest and United? We need a win to kick start our season and tomorrow is the day. Have faith. We dominated United and were the better side vs Forest (after a shakey opening). If we can get the ball on the deck and move it with purpose we'll have too much for Luton - just!
