Local lad in NRL Grand Final

I know there’s a few rugby league fans on here, and it’s been mentioned previously about Herbie Farnworth who was brought up in Blacko.

Anyway, he’s been an almost ever present in the centres for Brisbane this year and will be playing in the Grand Final kicking off at 9:30am

I don’t think it can be understated at what an achievement this is from someone who was on Burnley’s books at one point before concentrating on League, then moved over to Oz as an 18 year old. He’s one hell of a player.

Absolutely gutted for Herbie,Broncos were cruising at 24 - 6 with 17 minutes left, then Panthers Cleary turned on the magic and they ran out winners 26-24..
What a fantastic game though probably one of the best finals ever..
It was Herbies last game for the Broncos as well,such a shame they blew it..He's off to the Dolphins next season..
