Just wondered for anyone who watched last nights opening programme of Boiling Point what their views are.

Brilliant! Stephen Graham performance was pulsating.
I felt out of breath and exhausted after watching it!!

Of all the things that can be levelled at Lee Mack, unfunny is not one of them. He is one of the funniest, quickest and sharp witted comedians you are likely to see.* I saw him a few years ago at Hammersmith Apollo and he was sidesplittingly funny, particularly when dealing with heckles and comments from the audience.

Of all the things that can be levelled at Lee Mack, unfunny is not one of them. He is one of the funniest, quickest and sharp witted comedians you are likely to see.* I saw him a few years ago at Hammersmith Apollo and he was sidesplittingly funny, particularly when dealing with heckles and comments from the audience.

That's not the same... It is far easier to be funny when it is scripted... He is very funny on Would I Lie To You but that is scripted and rehearsed to the max but if you ever watch him away from shows like that, he's not really that funny, if funny at all... On Taskmaster, where it is more spontaneous, he's nowhere near as funny or sharp-witted and in other interviews and unscripted shows, he's very unfunny.

We watched the film on Saturday night for the first time. Thought it was really good. Very impressive how it used a continuous take all the way through. Added a real grit, pace and relentlessness that gives you a bit of insight into what it must be like to work in a place like that.

I thought Sunday's follow-up episode started in a similar vein, indeed it used a continuous shot for a while in the intro. But by the end it started to feel like many other BBC dramas. Seemed to lose a bit of its pace and grit. Will certainly be watching the next three episodes though. Not a bad first ep by any means.

I was relating it to the Gone Fishing programme, he wasn't funny at all on that.

Don't know if you've ever seen it but it's not a 'fishing programme'.

What would you describe it as then ? I've never fished in my life,but learnt a lot about it from this programme.

Just finished Boiling Point.
Thought it was excellent.

Can defo see another series coming.
Anyone who liked Boiling Point and hasn’t seen The Bear I’d highly recommend it. Both very intense, very realistic and brilliant actors and characters.
