Bruun Larsen

Post by ElectroClaret » Tue Oct 03, 2023 9:42 pm

Got to start, this lad for me.
Not just because of the goal, there's obvious quality there
that we're sorely lacking.

Koleosho and Amdouni, who I think have been two of our better players this year, were poor tonight.

100%.

He had a good spell against Man U when he showed some quality moments, has looked threatening every time he’s played, and then went and scored that beauty tonight.

A huge positive from the season so far and deserves more time on the pitch.

His second of the season, he needs to come in for Koleosho, who needs a rest, I think.

Koleosho always seems so much better on the left. He looks just average on the right.

Been really impressed with Bruun Larsen since his debut cameo against City.

Has a turn of pace, good touch, great passing range and thinks quickly.

He starts for me 100% (see the ‘what is our strongest xi’ thread)

Koleosho just has a lot to learn.

He will be a phenomenal player but lacks a bit of nous/game management skills and loses the ball a lot.

That will come in due course but we can’t have sort of 6 or 7 very inexperienced players out there effectively learning on the job in the PL.

He's been about a bit too which is important in this side of so much youth.

Bruun Larsson for Koleosho for me too Saturday, Amdouni looks in need of a rest as well.
Massive improvement having Foster back in goal, Muric for Trafford and the team would be starting to settle

Way too slow at getting a tall defender on. Ditto Cork. Ramsey seemed weird choice when defending a narrow lead. However, 3 points is what matters and should give the lads confidence for Saturday. UTC.

Quite simply because they're playing on the wrong wings. Virtually everyone thinks this except VK, so we have to assume he actually knows what he's doing, but imo it's stifling Koleosho's game and threat.

Said exactly that two games ago. He’s strong he’s quick and he can finish. Amazed he didn’t start against Man U.

Amdouni didn‘t seem strong enough tonight. Both mentally and physically. Was a tough game for the young lads.

Very good tonight and very good against the geordies - he's deceptively quick, good on the ball and gets himself into great positions.

Amdouni was ok, a little lazy at times in the press but he’s absolutely class.
Koleosho had an off night, perhaps a bit big and physical for him.

Great win but that second half was difficult to watch, glad I’ll not be going back there again, horrible ground

As a footballer, Brunn Larsen is currently light years ahead of Koleosho. Didn’t he play in a front 4 at Dortmund with Haaland, Reuse and Sancho? Different pedigree. Koleosho is lightening quick and will improve but right now his final ball and decision making isn’t very good at all - in fact it’s poor - but that will hopefully come in time and with further experience.

Larsen on the right
Koleosho on the left
Just do not understand why, after Koleosho's exciting start to the season, VK has moved him over to the right where he is nowhere near as effective
Larsen looks comfortable on the right
If Amdouni has to drop to the bench then so be it

He should definitely be starting in my opinion. Koleosho is an exciting player and had some excellent moments but I think he could operate better as a sub perhaps with his pace.

Luton kicked shite out of Amoundi who got nothing from the very inept ref and Koleosho had a great game even when he played on the right
A good win against an Alehouse brawler team

It's funny how people see things, me included.

Koleosho's stats from tonight. He isn't wasting as many passes as people think.

Shots on target
1
Key Passes
24
Touches
15
Passes
86.7%
Passing accuracy

Larsen touched the ball twice but one of those was worth the entrance fee :) .

How did the ball get to Larsen before he scored ? TV coverage only showed him with the ball before he cut inside and scored. Imagine the press coverage if it had been scored by Son or TAA !!!

When Almiron scored against us in the Newcastle game….the commentator went into overdrive about the brilliance, the beauty, I muted the commentary after that

Great goal from Larsen, just what we needed, well done to him & the lads

Bruun Larsen did spend a e significant early part of the year suffering/recovering from groin issues and surgery. I can see why he isn't yet playing a full ninety minutes.

Before is big move to Germany he played back home in Denmark and was a real talent but injuries stopped is progression and we have the option to sign him if he does well for us .

Don’t think had much of a career above youth in Denmark. He signed for Dortmund as a 16 year old and with the exception of a loan stint at Anderlecht played all his professional football in Germany.

For me we were massively missing some width on the left the other night. We missed Zaroury or even Koleosho on that side with someone else on the right.

That's what i meant he started is career at Lyngby in Denmark as was highly thought of before is big move to Germany but injuries played a part and moved around and on loan to Anderlecht i think and now he's hoping to get a contract with us if he does well and keeps fit .

VK knows if he's fit enough to start. Might be better from the bench.

I'm just trusting the coaches to do what's best.

But JBL has looked better and better...probably ready to start.

When Koleosho signed my first comment was on his pace, with surprising strength for his age, watching Larsen against Newcastle when he came on he looked quicker against the same opponent, admittedly a tiring opponent and seems very strong and with a lot of guile
