Darrell Smith.

I have seen many of the top soul stars but even though a lot of my mates were into northern soul it passed me by apart from about 4/5 song that i rate highly.
My question to northern soul fans.....is this lad well known?

What a voice and to me he actually sings The drifter better than Ray Pollard

He's very good, but he doesn't sing it as good as Ray Pollard. Good cast though.

I played in the same band as him for a short while - The Northern SoulTrain, local (ish) band specialising in northern soul - a really nice lad.

What a show that was btw.
His cover of The Night was top class.
