Re: Cricket World Cup
Wow indeed.
Re: Cricket World Cup
Unbelievable knock. I wouldn't bet against the Aussies winning it now.
Re: Cricket World Cup
8th wicket partnership 202. Maxwell got 179 of them.

Maxwell 201 not out, Aussie win, a marvellous display of hitting on one leg and suffering from cramp.

Since India are the 16/19 favourites I am sure many people will have heard it before your post.

Re: Cricket World Cup
England 192/6 from 35 overs against the mighty Dutch
Hopefully they will realise now that picking players that bowl a little and bat a little like Livingstone, Willey, Ali and a few others to a lesser extent will be moved away from.

I'd love NZ to chase that, would be unbelievable.
I can see them falling about 70 short though

Re: Cricket World Cup
Absolutely awesome on there own patch India scoring ridiculously fast nearly every match,if they score under par they then bowl you out they look unbeatable.I’m actually rooting for the Aussies to win it that knock from maxwell was one of the best sporting moments.
Re: Cricket World Cup
Think the only way someone beats India is batting first getting a big total on the board, see how they cope with a bit of pressure, especially if they lose early wickets.

Re: Cricket World Cup
8 Cricket World Cup Final appearances for the Aussies. Incredible record whatever the result in the Final showdown. Got a bit jittery in the semi final but managed to get over the line which is what the Aussies tend to do.

Re: Cricket World Cup
Final on now
Australia chose to field first and after first 10 overs looked an iffy decision.
Couple of quick wickets has changed that 82-3 India.

Re: Cricket World Cup
Just seen that it's on channel 5 as well for anybody who doesn't have Sky.
Re: Cricket World Cup
The Aussies are bowling themselves into a winning position ..Indians are completely flummoxed.,can't score a boundary at all.
Now 211- 7 ..

Re: Cricket World Cup
The element of luck always plays such a big part in the outcome of a cricket match, the toss, will the ball swing or not swing. Now it seems an Indian victory is dependent upon whether dew will form on the outfield during the evening under the floodlights.

Re: Cricket World Cup
Well done Australia, great comeback.
241 to win.
That’s what happens when you put India under pressure.
Going to be a close one.

Re: Cricket World Cup
Crazy first 6 overs.
Runs, chances, wickets, ball swinging. Great stuff.

Re: Cricket World Cup
Warner and Marsh both threw their wickets away really. I know they're both naturally aggressive players but they only need 241.

Don’t worry the Indians will blame bad luck should they lose the Final.
Lost the toss, batting was easier in the second innings when the dew came down, blah blah blah

Re: Cricket World Cup
Shows what happens when you put India under a bit of pressure. It's easy enough coasting through a 9 match group stage when there's no real danger.

Looks as though Australia will coast this now - 77 needed from 21.2 overs.
