Happy Clappers
The real Happy Clappers are the 'you only sing/clap when you're winning' mob.
They're quite happy and clappy when things are going right, but hit a rough patch and it's toys out of the pram time, especially on the internet.
Through thick and thin, eh? What a joke.

Re: Happy Clappers
Plenty of them on FB last night and today. Yesterday was very frustrating and I was annoyed by the second half no show, but the pining for Dyche, and the toys out of the pram stuff is cringy.

Embarrassing, isn't it. Many of those people, especially on here, were lauding VK as a tactical genius only a few months ago. Now he's dogdirt. Pathetic.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2023 10:12 amPlenty of them on FB last night and today. What happened to the Cricket Field Stand by the way? I notice it was evacuated at about the 75 minute mark but didn’t hear an announcement etc?

Is it really so crazy to pine after the best manager in many of our lifetimes?gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2023 10:12 amPlenty of them on FB last night and today. Who you constantly slagged off whilst he was here? now you’re acting like he’s the best thing since sliced bread to slag off the current manager.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 8:34 amIs it really so crazy to pine after the best manager in many of our lifetimes?

Re: Happy Clappers
Saturday was the first game that really set alarm bells ringing. Every other game I've walked away thinking it's a learning curve and we'll improve. Saturday was unacceptable on every single level. We looked a beaten team as soon as Chelsea equalised and the second half was nothing short of abhorrent. We were aimless and gutless. It was similar to the 90 minutes Sheff U put in vs Newcastle the other week. I don't say that lightly. I genuinely think that had the entire 90 minutes been played in the manner of the second half we would have conceded 8. It was that bad. A real horror show and VK needs to get his head straight over the International break.

Well, there you have it. You have left no doubt whatsoever that your whole raison d'etre for posting on this forum is to troll. You were one of Dyche's worst critics.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 8:34 amIs it really so crazy to pine after the best manager in many of our lifetimes?

I was Dyche in, but also commented on how **** the football got in the last year. He was ultimately failed by the club.
I’m not slagging the current manager either? He’s very inexperienced and it shows. That’s not slagging him off

Re: Happy Clappers
Notice the cricket field stand getting flack despite all four sides of the ground emptying again. The Longside looked like it'd been told to evacuate after the fourth went in.
It's a nightmare to try and get out of the home section of the CFS and it's frustrating after a win, never mind after a second half capitulation. I empathise with anyone that chooses to avoid that.

Aye he was critical but think he falls under the category of those fans that are never happy and always look for the negative.Clovius Boofus wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 9:24 amWell, there you have it. But I doubt very much whether he whinged as much about Dyche as the other person on this thread who is pointing this out. The self awareness of some people is nearly as staggering as their selective memory.
Personally when I see the managers we have had in the last 15 years with the exception of Laws I think as a club we have done extremely well and as fans we have been very lucky. Especially when you look round at the other local clubs like Blackburn, Preston, Blackpool and Bolton
I’m not lamenting our times when we nearly went out of the league - I am talking about a period when financially, size of club / resources it was a pretty level playing field between ourselves and our local rivals yet by a significant margin we have had a much more successful 15 years than any of these clubs and that is largely down to the managers we have appointed.
But as said some fans will never be happy.
Re: Happy Clappers
I keep seeing you digging at me again, hoping for a bite. You’re stupid if you don’t see my point, stand on what you say that’s all. Don’t act like you’re all pro Dyche now when you were slagging him off every week when he was here.Big Vinny K wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 11:09 am

I’m having a dig because it’s true. I don’t know one poster who was more negative about Dyche than you. And now you are criticising somebody else - that’s just embarrassing.
As for you now making up a complete lie about me - that’s par for the course for our resident bullish-itter. But do feel free to post the links of me “slagging him off every week”
I mean they should be easy to find - won’t they be next to your posts about 5 minutes after every game we lost ?

I never said I didn’t slag off Dyche, I’m calling out Newcastle not for slagging off Dyche but for now back pedalling like he was pro Dyche all along now VK has had a few losses. Stand on your opinion.
You’re so angry and Internet aggressive, looking for any old argument with me so will purposely ignore my point.

Can't believe people haven't sussed out that this is all part of the narrative for Mission to Burnley 2. We will be rock bottom at Christmas and Kompany will be potted. Hail the return of Laws the Messiah with Dyche coaching the U21s. We will win our last 10 games to stay up with Foster bagging 30 for the season.

But even if you are right maybe he now realises what 99% of burnley fans did all along that Dyche was the most successful Burnley manager in the last 4 or 5 decades. I think most fans would welcome now a combination of Dyche’s defensive solidity and ability to develop defenders combined with the attributes VK gives the team.
If those few fans who were were critical of Dyche are now realising they may have been wrong then that’s far better than ‘stand on your opinion” when that opinion (yours especially) was so wide of the mark.

Re: Happy Clappers
It's about playing to your strengths and for some bizarre reason we changed tactics .No fast passing to the wings with quick balls to feet
Berge knitting together our forward movement out to the wings.
Second half Berge dropped back and our midfield dissolved hitting pass after pass to Chelsea
Koleosho was starved of service and utilising Ramsay a serious error.Jayrod and Jack Cork would have at least injected passion. Also where was Zeki Amoundi?

It's the difference between fans and supporters
Supporters back the club through thick and thin
Fans are fickle
