Cheers and not good. I really do think for himself he needs a break out of the firing line and get his confidence back up. Some time to continue with a player underperforming m, it can breed complacency, but I’m sure VK has an eye on that.

I've been saying the same thing for the last few games, kompany is not doing Trafford (I feel sorry for him) or The team any favours by playing him week in week out just because of his price tag

I don’t think it has anything to do with the price tag, more to do with man management and backing your player when it’s not going well. But I really do think we are at the Joe Hart point and for all involved a break would benefit all.

If the price tag is the only reason he's in the team then I totally agree with you.
However, we can't say for sure that it is the only reason Trafford is being selected ahead of Muric.

It's 100% the price tag, he was put straight into a team playing two levels above anything he's played before, he replaced Muric who at the very minimum deserved to start the season, he played fantastic in one level below and knew Kompany's system inside out unlike Trafford, It's 100% the price tag

Really can't see Kompany dropping Trafford after the team's baptism of fire.
Why can't those pushing this agenda just wait to see how he does over the next few games.
Any comparison to the Hart situation , whilst sincere, is misguided.

Yes, he certainly does. But he looks tallest (apart from Berge) out of the 11 when the teams line up.

I don't think there is an agenda, just genuine concern.
Letting this quantity of goals in must be damaging the lad's confidence.
TBH, the 3 goals tonight weren't that special.

Yes bill I'm sure it is genuine concern but how often does this need to be expressed? It's happening too often by the same posters that's why I carefully used the word ' agenda'

If the agenda is wanting our best possible XI to play the game at all times so we can not get panned / delude ourselves into thinking the manager has assembled a squad reflective of the spend then yeah I guess that’s an agenda.

Some would just say it’s ‘calling a spade a spade’

So still a very big lad who doesn't look his size when shaping up in goal.

I have doubts about Trafford but would hardly call myself a realist. More a reflector who will make his judgement when he has seen more evidence. That way it gives me more scope to shift opinion if my original assessment is hasty.

Realistically, letting all these goals in could really be damaging his confidence.
Perhaps a few games out wouldn't do him any harm.

Don't worry about it Andy, we've done all that now.
But here's a little anecdote:
I'm an ex keeper, and in the best team I ever played for both centrebacks were taller than me. Our manager told me to stand on tip-toes for team pics! :D

Strange cos before he signed we were told, on here, he was 6’4”. On the recent squad photo he is stood between Muric and Berge and is smaller than both.
