Leroy Lita

Post by Carlos the Great » Sat Oct 21, 2023 11:24 am

Apparently we tried to sign him once when he was at Reading but he claims he had never heard of Burnley FC … I think he is making himself look a bit stupid he never heard of a founder member football league and a team playing in his own at the time .. glad we never signed him a

Yes he was a good striker I think at that level ..I’m not sure if he was implying Burnley were a nothing club he never heard of … or … he admitting he is the dumbest footballer ever known

Reading players of that era always seemed to have a chip on their shoulder about anything to do with Burnley

I had reason to deal with Leroy Lita at a professional level though work and I can say without fear of contradiction that he’s the thickest person I have ever spoken to.

After iI’d called him, I got a call about 20mins later and it was his agent who basically said to me not to waste my time talking to Lita because of how thick he is and just to call him!
