I've been listening to a Spotify created Leonard Cohen play list recently. It's much less miserable than being a Burnley fan just now!!

The first song I ever heard by Cohen I was a young punk in my first job when an older workmate lent me a clutch of 60s. and early 70s albums Songs of Love and Hate being one of them.I would say the bar was certainly set high

Leonard Cohen has quite a lot of life affirming music. Sadly unlike Burnley this season

Morrisey- miserable?
Some of his lyrics are laugh out loud funny
Cohen has made some life affirming music, Reed too
Nick Cave - now he has made some music to worry your wrists

Whenever I hear David Bowie's The Jean Genie, it reminds me of Leonard Cohen's music.

It was a bit of tongue in cheek thread as I said earlier don't spoil the narrative .But for the record check out Reeds Berlin for depressing

He sang about life as he saw it..........best songwriter since Charles Aznavour.

Now we have Nick Cave!

Unless you'd prefer more like Harry Styles?

Suzanne is my favourite Cohen track, closely followed by First We Take Manhattan. A poet/lyricist of the first order.
