I'm pretty sure you said something similar post brentford it's probably more constructive debating properly than completely ignoring people with different views. Regarding games at home against the "bottom half" sides I sincerely hope you are right because the way things are going we really do need to be winning a lot of them, because sure as hell it's not prosperous at home against the top sides & away things aren't that rosy against the bottom sides & if you are building your hopes up on a massive upturn in form back at TM it could be a major ask bearing in mind the performances on show thus far.

We don't know if it's wasted money as yet - the club as a whole decided to buy youth as I presume a 3 fold strategy in that they prove themselves quickly - they prove themselves in 2-3 years time or they prove more valuable than what we paid for them. We haven't bought to buy ourselves a free pass for survival in this brutal league.
Us and Sheff Utd were miles clear of anything else in the championship and we both except for maybe townsend have not bought any premiership experience. Why ? Because any really good experienced Premier player would not sign for us so we either go for the free "elderly" players like redmond/townsend/ lingarrd etc etc or you buy unproven in hope.
The money we "might have wasted" if proven correct makes the possible myth that tella was just a bit too expensive bizarre as the guy was a proven player to us - we had a history with him. THB the same especially when we spent 12m on oshea who had no previous history with us.

Don't think people realise except for 5-6 clubs out of 19 we are like Stanley playing in the championship - that's the type of gulf.

Roberts isn’t good enough (yes I do hammer him. He’s a poor man’s Cash)

Cullen is too lightweight, and could be effective but needs a power midfielder alongside him.

Beyer would be in our current side if fit - without a doubt
Roberts doesn't look like a PL player but in any case he was suspended today
There's a v strong argument that Taylor is a better PL defender than Maatsen, (who is not seen as a full back by Pochettino)
Benson is injured
Foster was also out "ill" today but in any case last season's Foster doesn't get into todays squad.
So basically half of the team that you name were unavailable today otherwise might have played, and Cullen, Brownhill and Zaroury did, so you make a fairly weak case.
Muric for Trafford is the only real difference.

Tella is the one that’s a mystery … unless he didn’t want to come . To suggest he was only worth 9m and then signing loads of players we didn’t really know is bizarre.. I wanted to see him play for us in the premier league ..
