Matchday Music

Post by CoolClaret » Thu Nov 02, 2023 1:51 pm

With the club committing to a new playlist to ‘enhance the matchday experience’ what tunes would you have on at the Turf?

I think this would be appropriate right now:

The way things are at present the funeral march from Beethoven's 3rd symphony and better one, in my opinion, is Marcia funebre from his 7th symphony

Just hope they stop playing it at full blast up to 2.59pm every game! All if does is prevent fans from generating an atmosphere!

Correct it needs to stop around 15 minutes before the game starts

Working in the music business and specifically speakers and sound systems. They need a complete overhaul of the soundsystem. It’s far too mid heavy and is inaudible at times. If they think a music playlist change is the answer they are wrong. A Dj is not needed either just a decent playlist of music that fits the demographic. I’m dreading what they have up their sleeve.

Random thought here, but if I were to make the play list I'd be popping the intro music to Succession on there. What a great piece of music.

Didn’t see this thread, posted this on the flags and banners one.

Next on the money grabbing list. The Turf Moor Playlist. “Rocking the Turf”. You be the DJ. Register on the BFC APP. Then for just £2 per song, choose the tunes you want to hear from our extensive list of approved songs.

I've heard that the CFS will all have song sheets tomorrow as the latest initiative from the match day experience crew. The first song for them is George Ezra - blame it on me which should enhance getting behind the team

Agree it's brilliant but I'm not sure the tinkling of the ivories would really work in a football stadium.
