Leicester v Leeds
Impressive start by Leeds. Leicester not looking quite as good as in previous games. Looks like they are struggling to cope with a Premier League like press.

Wonder how we would have got on against these two last season

Re: Leicester v Leeds
Just illustrates what a weak division the Championship is, that a team that were runners up in Division One are currently 9 points clear in second place, and the three relegated clubs from the Pl fill 3 of the top 4 positions.
Re: Leicester v Leeds
I know it's a level below etc etc but there's a few players on that pitch who'd improve us.

Entertaining game so far. Two teams playing good footy. Leeds look vibrant.

Re: Leicester v Leeds
Division 1 wasn't a weak league when Ipswich were promoted and won it in 1961/62, or when a promotion in third place for Nottm Forest was followed by winning the Divsion 1 title in 1977/78 with just three league defeats all season.

Gnonto who was the subject of transfer interest from Everton, among others, doesn’t even make the Leeds starting 11.

Re: Leicester v Leeds
Leeds are chasing down exactly as we did last season.
Why have we stopped that?

The opposition are far better this year and move the ball alot quicker.dougcollins wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 9:08 pmLeeds are chasing down exactly as we did last season.

Re: Leicester v Leeds
Would we beat either of these ?
Re: Leicester v Leeds
Definitely. I think similar about Ampadu. Could've been the one to step into Cork's shoes.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 9:05 pmLeicester getting Harry winks was a real coup. He’s a top player

I'd say stick to what you're good at.

Surely he's doing very similar to what Cullen did last season. Will be very interesting to see how he goes if/when they get promoted.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 9:19 pmHarry winks would have been a great signing for us.
Not afraid to put his foot in but also excellent on the ball

Re: Leicester v Leeds
Leicester fans still have those clappy stick things. Do they get replenished each season?
Re: Leicester v Leeds
Last season we would have beaten both. With our current team I doubt itdougcollins wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 9:27 pmLast season, we'd have given either of them a very good game.

Re: Leicester v Leeds
Both of these clubs were able to retain a much stronger core of players with PL experience not needing a whole host of new additions and loan signings.

Both have good goalkeepers. I’d be happy with either.

Re: Leicester v Leeds
Just got back-a good game for the neutrals. Agree with posters on this thread-Winks has been a superb player and has a bit of steel about him. Leicester have two very good young fast wingers, but unlike ours have great end product. Vardy played very deep so they offered little through the middle. Fatawa their right winger will be one to watch if they get promoted
Got to say Leeds were brilliant-strong , physical and very quick and direct on the break. Their keeper only had one save to make-not bad as Leicester had won all but two league games.Keep an eye out for Hermansen the Leicester keeper-he is going to be very good-great with his feet, aerially and shot stopping
