Least Berge is looking PL quality

Him and Brownhill look fair comfortable together in the middle

Why didn't their player get booked for the foul on Amdouni just now

Couple of Palace players talking themselves into yellows at half time there. Muppets.

Such a shame about the goal, it’s been one of our best halves this season.

Been wondering why we haven’t played in this shape all season.

We look far better for it (albeit Palace worst team we’ve faced at home obv).

We've been the better team but it's a frustrating pattern. Good until 20 mins then we collapse. Unbelievable mistake by Beyer last player I'd have expected it from.
Frustrating how we ebb and flow. First 10 minutes we were really incisive then for about 20 minutes we slowed right down again.

Amdouni best player, Koleosho had his moments, Vitinho doing okay so far

Best performance of the season and by some distance but I really think its because they're letting us have the ball and only really a one man press most of the time.
Take the mistake out of it and we'd be really happy with this is at half time as its the most comfortable we've looked defensively all season.

Actually he did - but you usually get away worth it in the Championship.

Can’t remember many (any) that led to such a big chance like that. He was flawless in those situations.

Yep - looking much better in our build up and defensive structure when losing the ball.

Maybe the Cullen suspension is a blessing in disguise 🤷‍♂️

Berge and JBG positives.
If we can put Koleosho a bit of space, he can do them damage.
Can’t keep giving away such presents though 🫣😩

played well but toothless up front and unfortunately another mistake, if we get early goal second half we could go on and win it.

Not as poor as we've been lately but still far from convincing. I think Palace are defending similar to Everton in terms of not really pressing our back line and that's one of the reasons why we look slightly better than usual. Our attacking play is still very predictable and despite the possession we only had one shot on target (from a distance).

Clinton Morrison half time summing up “Burnley dominating the game but just can’t put the ball in the net” confirming earlier posts.

Hopefully second half will bring a change of fortune - and a deserved equaliser.

Don’t agree with that - at goal kicks they’re pressed very high up - they sit off when the ball has been in play for a while though but they’re absolutely trying to force us long

Letting us have the ball and waiting to counter attack ?

I think we've looked the better of the 2 sides.
Again, we've gifted another goal through our own stupidity.
Defensively, we look a lot better. I still can't see us scoring though.

Shows how much we need our centre forward and centre back starters being 100% fit.

Once again, the opposition don't have to do much if anything to score against us. Palace have created next to nothing, and they aren't even pressing us like other sides have.

We've played well, some lovely pockets of passing and some good openings. But not much to show for it in terms of chances.

Which would be more acceptable if we could stay in games. And we absolutely can't. We gift teams goals week in, week out.

Of course - because we have no height up front to win any long balls

But general play they fall back happy to let us pass with the hope of mistakes

They did at times (just like Everton did on Wednesday) but Brentford and even Bournemouth were pressing us with more players and more often.

That first half shows why the whole drum thing is completely ridiculous. Show a bit of spirit and effort and the fans will respond every time. The atmosphere directly correlates with what’s happening on the pitch. Miles better today because the players are showing some desire.

Very positive this for the other 9-10 games at home to the non-top sides. We look like with home advantage we may be the better team in most of them which is what I hoped would happen.

Just need to tighten at both ends :) :)
