Luton don't f about at the back unless they are not marked, shame we can't adopt that yactic.

Luton look better organised than we do. Obviously not writing it off like we have against the big teams.

I can't help but want Luton to keep a clean sheet given who they are playing. Preferably with some goals correctly disallowed by var.

Can you please explain how they changed ' dramatically'. Personnel I understand but I'm more concerned with their tactical approach that brought about a change in their fortunes. Looking forward to your reply.
The tone of your post suggests this question might well be a disingenuous one, but I think I can help out anyway on the off chance you are actually interested.

At the start of last season Forest played quite an open and attacking 3412 formation with an emphasis on trying to move the ball around. After a very poor start, they changed to a defensive 433 shape with an emphasis on being compact and letting the opposition see more of the ball, but then breaking out very quickly on the counter.

Trialed for us didn’t he? , I think he’s a decent player, maybe a bit too old for VK’s team.
Yeah. Played in that friendly.
We all thought, including him, he was going to sign. But the contract offer was apparently withdrawn.

Very enjoyable watch, don't think Luton can keep up the tempo though, would of loved us to have signed Bartley oozes class

Real Luton.
Forest and Luton combined today have 135 mins with no goals against. Need a solid defense in PL otherwise zero chance. Can’t believe how poor we are at the back considering what position VK played

Luton are winning the physical game and the crowd are 'helping' the ref to make the right decisions. What we did when at our best under Dyche.

Good points above. Dyche showed how far organisation and defending well could get you. Hate our current kamikaze football and used to hate the Howe football where we couldn’t defend.

Personally think the Townsend one was a massive error because we are putting lots of square (or old) pegs in that right wing berth.

Wasn’t the only error either, the common factor is over-reliance on young players to deliver en masse. May yet work but less likely by the week.

Very organised side, stayed in the game and then taken their chance. Well done to them. Could be an interesting last 10-15.

How can it be physically possible, Luton (a squad worth a fraction of the value of ours) are competing against a top team.

This is what good managers can do a team.

Luton have been very good. Played some lovely stuff. They know what they do and they do it well. Stark opposite to us. Have we countered like that once this season?

The myth of this insurmountable gap between the two divisions seriously needs to end and the delusion about what fresh hell we’ve been served up this year is.

We were miles ahead of Luton last year spent far more and they look far better than we do.

Simply not good enough

Our transfer window looking more and more shambolic, going for purely pedigree when people like Barkley and Townsend were available for free.

We simply cannot compete with teams like the ones that Luton Town and their 20p budget are competing with. Free hit.

Luton have maximisesd their ability. That is exactly what they are about. They are here for the NOW. I love what they have done and how they have gone about it. It reminds me of Dyche, the early years. Spending nothing and getting use of others' scraps. You've got to wish them well.

They'll get relegated because they have virtually no quality. They fight like hell, are well organised and know their identity.

Good luck to them but hopefully not at our expense.

I’ve long thought that the likes of Luton, Sheff Utd and Bournemouth will have an odd upset in them against the bigger teams, a bit like us when we first came up all them years ago. Free hits so to speak. Absorb the pressure, keep it tight and take your chance when you get it.

Unfortunately for us we don’t have that grit to dig in and absorb pressure. Nor do we look like scoring atm either.

I don’t think it’s a question of revelling in VK’s failing it’s just some poster reckon that VK’s way is the only way and hasnt to be criticised because of last season’s achievements.

We play the game a completely different way to Luton .
They clear it anyway they can at the back and May only need one goal to get 3 points
We try to build up at the back and make mistakes conceding 2 goals a game and need to score 3 to win a game
Unless we change and adapt to putting the ball in the stands occasionally we will finish bottom of the table
