Could I get my apology in now, just in case you ever see any of the photos/video. I remember going way over the top in my celebrations despite my having contributed sweet FA to our team's success; I promise to bear your sensibilities in mind though, when we next have something to celebrate.

Gnonto on course to sign a new deal at Leeds, yet Sacha claiming he was on the way to West Ham which meant benson was replacing him at Leeds, another example of sacha waffle

Giving that barnes invited JJ Watt on the players bus and not the club officials bus I don’t think any player cared.StayingDown4Ever wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 2:25 pmI wonder if it infuriated them when JJ Watt was on the open top bus going through town?

I think he should have celebrated more modestly. I already said that.ClaretOfMancunia wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 2:27 pmSlightly pedantic. If his celebrations didn't "sit well", presumably you would have been happier if he didn't.
Remember the stick John Terry got for wearing his kit for the champs league celebrations..and he was one of their main players.

Fair enough. Still feels a bit harsh to me. He's celebrating the success of the club and the team and I find it very hard to criticise a player for that, even if they're only on the fringes.
On the other hand, Muric was extremely reserved when we secured it. He just about cracked a smile!!

He tweeted on the VAR issues we’ve had, including one that caused his account to be locked, as well as commenting about it on Pat McAfees show, whilst wearing Burnley capStayingDown4Ever wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 6:05 pmMaybe next May he might get on it again. We’ve not had a game in nearly 2 weeks. What do you want him to comment on?

I think JJ tried to really get Burnley and I also feel that he succeeded. He also supports the club/team better, perhaps, than many who were here long before him. Love his enthusiasm. He is all in.

His ‘9-5’ is the NFL, I’m sure we’ll see more of him when their season ends.StayingDown4Ever wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 6:05 pmMaybe next May he might get on it again. Been a bit quiet of late though hasn’t he…

Re: January transfer window rumours.
What do you mean he’s been quiet? Do you want him to talk about Burnley every interview he does, JJ Watt done more interviews in 12 months than Alan Pace has in 3 years, it doesn’t mean anything.StayingDown4Ever wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 6:05 pmMaybe next May he might get on it again. Trippier on a move to Germany maybe for over 12 million quid.

I spent a lot of time socialising in the Toon during my youth and that was perhaps one of the reasons... You got laid whether you wanted to or not.

The rumours about Trippier's indiscretions appeared on a Sunderland fan messageboard in the week before the derby. Critical thinking skills may be required to consider if they are real or totally made up.

Re: January transfer window rumours.
If he hasn't done anything illegal, what's the big deal?
Re: January transfer window rumours.
It would certainly explain his drop in form though if his wife has rumbled him. And tbf it seems fairly common knowledge up there, definitely not just rumours on a Sunderland site.daveisaclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 11:52 amThe rumours about Trippier's indiscretions appeared on a Sunderland fan messageboard in the week before the derby. Why are the rumours still all for 12 year olds?
Surely some maturity and know how are what we need for now???

Re-sale value is the name of Al’s game.
The biggest flips come from young players who have a half decent season or two.
The club is a vehicle to showcase talent. Success on the pitch is secondary.

Re: January transfer window rumours.
They always say football is cyclical.
I got so used to us signing older players and reading complaints that we didn't sign young players and sell at a profit like (insert club name whoever it was trendy to wish to be) that now we are reading complaints that we are signing youngsters to make a profit then we must be already on our way back to the good old days.
I miss this highly amusing comments about signing players from Stoke in their 30s

Which concept do you think offers the chance to make more money
Just signing anyone of a young age even if they are crap and hope someone pays more or sign young players, the club do well and other clubs take notice of those players doing well.
